**GOT AN EVGA GRAPHICS RELATED QUESTION OR NEED SUPPORT - ASK HERE!!**

Hi

For the new EVGA GTX 770 would you get the new ACX cooling or the blower cooling?
I guess most people will say ACX but I just want to know what others would feel is the best.

Could anyone offer some advice?
I have a new EVGA 780 ACX which is faulty:
OCuk have offered an RMA – but with no replacement stock anywhere I’ll probably get a refund.
EVGA have offered an RMA – but I’ll have to send it to Germany for replacement or repair.
Obviously I do not wish for a repair on a new purchase but EVGA are more likely to have stock.
Which would you go for?

Hi,

within the first 30 days of purchase we will send UPS to pick the faulty unit up that you will not have shipping cost on it.
We do also replace units that go for RMA within the first 30 days of purchase with brand new cards and do not send you repaired ones back.
If you received different information from the EVGA support hotline please drop me an email to [email protected] with further information like whom you've spoken to if you can still remember.

Hi, for the FTW version I do not have confirmed information so far but the Classified models will be available at the beginning of Juli.

Thanks for the reply Dominik.
Opted for RMA to EVGA. OCuk have no stock and I’d really like a replacement. Last instructions from EVGA Support was to ship to Germany – due for collection today via Interlink. Should be with you by Friday. Will send you a mail.

Thanks for that. I suppose I will just have to wait for the FTW model to come out so that I can buy all the parts for my gaming pc. (Can't wait for it) Actually I might start a Thread on it for your opinion on it.

Hi Dominik,

Not a graphics related question but still about evga :)

The X79 Dark is due for release shortly, having a look around it on tpu it looks absolutely fantastic. Can you tell me with honesty that the dark won't be plagued by the bios issues the rest of the evga x79 lineup suffered from? As I noticed the new uefi has been changed out, I'm guessing that's partly due to the problems the sli/ftw/classy board's suffered from.

Also will current evga x79 owners be getting offered the dark upgrade promotion in Europe?

the goal for the production of the Dark board was to fix all previus BIOS bugs and improve the hardware of the boards so bugs should be fixed!

Yes, we will also run the promotion in Europe but the detailes for this are not cleared so far, as soon as I get confirmed information for this I will also post it here.

Looks like I may have found my ivy-e board then. I came close on a few occasions to buying the ftw or classy, but the page upon page of reported issues drove me else where.

Going by the feature set the Dark could well knock the rive off its perch too. Is a European retail price set yet also? I see it's $399 for the states so around €330?

Hi, I have sent an allocation to them on stock which was landing in the UK today. I would expect this to land on Wednesday at the latest with OCUK.

Hi,

generally the issues with the old versions like SLI or FTW should aslo be fixed now with all the BIOS updates but the Dark is a completly new design so its worth to wait for it ;) So far we do not have pricing for EU, the 400 USD in the US store is without any taxes so I think it will be more expensive then 330 EUR. I will post EU pricing as soon as I get it.

Update.
Decided to RMA my week old GTX780 SC ACX back to EVGA as OCuk had no stock to replace it. Used Interlink insured/ground at £25.
Dominik@EVGA was very helpful and offered to refund the delivery cost – refunded the same day! No charge for return via UPS.
Brand new replacement arrived Friday – 3 days to get there/1 day at EVGA/3 days return. Installed today and everything works extremely well.
So chalk up a good positive score for EVGA warranties and many thanks to Dominik
Now looking at motherboards and EVGA is top of my list (EVGA X79 Dark).
