Hi,

our warranty terms changed! In the past was:
Basic 2 years and 10 if you register it in time. This changed to
Basic 3 and you can purchase up to 5 or 10 years optional.

Cheers

Having seen kingpin showing off the soon to be released EVGA GTX780 Classified I have a few questions about it...

Firstly, is it going to come with an evbot connector as pictured and showcased by kingpin, if so what is likely to be the retail voltage limit?

Also, are we going to see a 780 classified hydrocopper with good availability throughout Europe? As iirc the 680 hydrocopper was pretty much non existent for Europeans for quite a while.

Hi,

so far the details of overvolting the card are not cleared but it will defently be possible somhow! So far the details for the limit are also not fix!
There will also be a Hydrocopper version of the 780 classi, the Hydro Copper cards are kind of limited edition and not endless available. Generally we had the 680s available and they did also get shipped in whole Europe. Maybe you can already try to get on some backorder list at your favorit shop if you are really interested in.

Cheers

Hello Overclockers,

we have a new BIOS available for the GTX 780 ACX edition, with this BIOS the idle fanspeed is lowered. At the moment we can not post this in the forums, if you want to get just send me an email with your S/N and OCUK 2784 to [email protected] and I will send you the BIOS.

Cheers

I have the standard nvidia cooler on 2 of your 780 superclocked cards. I'd like to add a tiny bit more than the +38mv allowed at present. Is there any way as of yet to allow this?

Hi,

I was just wondering if EVGA have stopped doing custom coolers on their graphics cards?

I was over on Overclock3D forums the other day and after calling a user a doofus TinyTomLogan (he seems lovely on the forums) he stated that EVGA only use reference coolers on their cards. So have they stopped doing the ACX coolers now?

I did supply TinyTom with a link to one of EVGA's cards with an ACX cooler.
I then found that my post had been deleted and his posted edit to remove the statement about EVGA cards.

So does TinyTom know something we don't or perhaps does TinyTom know less than he makes out (and then covers it up when he gets found out)?

I'm unaware of any problems with the ACX coolers so can't see why they'd stop. Which leads me to think this was a mistake on TTL's part?

Hey
First post (long winded) and unfortunately not an overly positive one . Bought a EVGA GTX780 SC on the 6th of June. Card unfortunately had what I would consider audible Coil whine. Used the GPU extensively over the next few weeks to see would it quieten Down. It didn't.

Raised a Support ticket on the 3rd of July. Listed the steps I tried to eliminate the GPU as the cause of the coil whine. Got tired when I was again asked questions that I'd already answered in detail. I felt I was just repeating myself at this point so contacted the EVGA EU support manager on the 5th. He was quite helpful and suggested I request an RMA.
He also informed me that as I was within 30 days and my card was classed as new I would receive assistance with Courier fees (€71)

I submitted the RMA on the 5th. with it being a friday I didn't get RMA approval to the following tuesday the 8th, 2 days past the 30 day mark. My Courier collected my card on the 11th (UPS standard) and it was delivered on the 18th.

I received my Replacement today and it's a refurb. I assumed I would be receiving a New card but apparently not as according to EVGA i'm outside 30 days. I raised the issue and submitted an RMA with EVGA before 30 days. They're also counting the time it took for the GPU to reach Germany via Courier in the 30 days which I find daft. I have also not received anything towards the initial courier fees.

On the plus Side the replacment has no coil whine. The ACX cooler also performs better than the stock cooler imo. Turnaround time was also decent.

tl;dr I didn't get to experience this awesome EVGA customer support I keep hearing about :-)

Following on from my post on the warranty thread. My RMA replacement is itself going to need to be RMA'ed (more courier fees FFS:rolleyes:) Further testing has revealed Card is unstable at stock with demanding DX10, DX11 titles. Voltage increase or underclocking the card helps but that's not an adequate solution. I feel this refurbished card needed more thorough recertification

I'll submit a support ticket to EVGA with more detail.

Hello GM,

it is the opposite :) the 760 / 770 / 780 ACX cards are top seller and we are also going to launch the ACX Cooler to fit on Titan soon!! Also watercooled Titans / 780s are going to get available soon too and we will also sell the Hydro Copper Waterblocks seperatly.

Cheers

Hi,

normally if you request the RMA within 30 days you should also receive a brand new replacement. If a RMA is needed for a replacement straight away you do not need to worry about the shipping cost, we will send UPS to pick it up. Feel free to send me an email to [email protected] if there is any further issue with your RMA or if you are not happy with the customer support!!

Hi,

I stepped up 2 gtx670s this morning but have only received one of the RMA pdfs via email? Could the other one be sent to me please?

Hey
I did request an RMA within 30 days. I was also informed by yourself that UPS pickup was difficult in Ireland. You requested that I arrange for a courier and EVGA EU would provide assistance with fees (this has not happened) My quote where I explained this below

I submitted the RMA on the 5th. with it being a friday I didn't get RMA approval to the following tuesday the 8th, 2 days past the 30 day mark. My Courier collected my card on the 11th (UPS standard) and it was delivered on the 18th.

I've sent you a number of mails but you haven't responded. I'm the customer from Ireland, first name is Eoin :-)

You have however responded to my last support ticket query regarding the replacement being faulty. It's not a power supply or motherboard issue. I provided plenty of detail in my original support ticket including that the GPU was crosstested in two different systems. Yet you have again asked me have I tested the GPU in different systems.

Also two similar GPU's were tested in my system. A Titan which was completely stable as was the GTX 780 SC that this ACX SC replaced.

Up until I purchased the original GTX 780 SC. My Corsair AX850 was powering two power hungry high end Fermi's :)
