Got wood?

Prefer piano black wood. However I suppose with your all black interior it might have blended in too much.

Jury still out for me.

I agree the silver is cold, bland and uninviting. Just not sure the wood looks right.

Seeing as it's real wood it probably looks far better in the flesh. But so long as you like it then that's all that matters!

Half the problem is that i suck at taking photographs and it always looks different in photos anyway. I was suprised when it turned up how much darker it was in the flesh than in the photos.

I'm really happy with how it looks :)

I prefer the wood without question. Cant stand silver/aluminium trim. Although it has its place on sports cars.

It probably seems like you are in a different car now, right :)

I had "foundry" finish on my Range Rover and always regretted not getting the wood.

Silver is modern, sleak and minimalistic.

I have negative conotations of wood being an old man's car, with the image further ruined by the 90's love of fake wood by illusions of granduer, especially of the darker woods and woods with heavy red tones. But it does make the cabin look warmer, I'll give it that.
It also depends on the car, some cars suit them better, and the wood used itself.

I like the wood, but because it's a silver car i think the silver trim suits the car better as a whole. If it was a black car then wood trim all the way!

What he said.

Personally I think that wood looks awful on any car whether it's a BMW, a Morris Traveller or a Rover 216. I bet if you look in the accessory catalogues for any of the above you'll be able to buy a matching pipe to complete the look.

Is the silver trim silver plastic or metal?

I've always found actual brushed metal trim to look much much nicer than coloured plastic, in much the same way real wood looks much nicer than plastic wood.

I'd quite like to swap my wood trim for some brushed alu trim but being an Anniversary/R32 thing, it's stupidly expensive :p
