Host shotgun advantage, if I have heard you correctly :p

I agree that all these things are very frustrating, espcially the aforementioned melee hit boxes being too large (For chainsaws and grenades)
Haven't been in a game for a while, I would be up for playing GRAW but I am pretty bad at it.
 
GRAW = Ghost recon

We haven't played since August. I just feel like playing again and I think I remember danny saying the same thing a while ago, but everyone is in Gears everynight.

I've been playing Gears for 6-7 weeks, on the same maps and the with the only decent game type and there are no other decent multi-player games out there at the moment (until march, GRAW 2 :D ) So since danny's got rid I thought it would be the perfect time to get GRAW going again, but it probably won't happen :(

Host shotgun is a problem when the host gets it (doesn't always happen though) but that isn't something that can be fixed unless you totally nerf the shotgun.

Edit: I *might* be getting a business line for my next adsl connection with 832kbps upload for £34.99 a month so it could mean I could host some decent sized GRAW or Halo 2 games without any trouble, but I might not even be able to get it so I will be e-mailing them sometime soon and asking if they supply their office lines to home users.

The host advantage thingibybob is all down to lag: by the time the packet saying that I've shot you in the head reaches you, your packet saying the same thing has already reached me, so I die first.

I'll be up for some GRAWage, but you should give Vegas a look in, it's multiplayer isn't as mature, but it's pretty damned good :)
 
Vegas was a major let down, the cover system gives far too much of an advantage plus the graphics look shoddy and the gameplay seems sluggish :mad:

Why oh why can't they just release Rainbow Six 3 and Black Arrow again but in next gen graphics :(
 
man i finally got the pistol achievement. now i need the sniper, torque bow and hammer of dawn. all weapons i hate. man i better learn how to play rooftops!

I don't mind giving other games a try as long as its with the OCUK bunch as its fun.
I don't mind GoW, can be frustrating at times but I'm pretty new to the MP scene on it so it hasn't got tiresome for me yet.
I could never get into GRAW but will deffo buy the next installment.

I still have Vegas to play.

How about Quake? :D

Unless they make some huge changes and there are no better games available. I will not be getting GRAW2
I only played GRAW because it was the only decent MP game at the time.

It *was* the only decent MP game? Still is compared to GoW! That's the one that's flawed and needs huge changes due to it's horrendous bugs!

I am looking forward to GRAW2 and will be getting it no matter what, but for it to excel it has to offer a lot more than what could be done via map packs for the original. And again, the single player side of it is of no interest to me.
 
Poor krono, he's finally found a game he can kill people on. Must not be too hard on him ;)

I know GOW had MP tagged on but when you play R6 and see the depth they went to on MP GOW shouldve had so much more then 4 guys in a 2 minute frag fest.

R6 gives me huge hopes for what they will have done for Graw2 MP.

R6 has many different ways to play the game, GOW the only way a game is different is if gord chooses to dance around your bleeding body before tag you with smoke then killing you from point blank range with a torque bow.

The major point for me is when you died on Graw, as you did often krono you just accepted defeat, yet every after game lobby on GOW has one or seven people asking how the **** some kill happened. Either that or me apologising to squinoogle for killing him. ;)

The ocuk action for me far outstrips the gameplay.

Summed up well there... it's always a good laugh playing with the regulars and get a bit of banter going.

I can't be bothered playing with random folk, it's usually screaming kids or complete silence!
