Looking forward to this, will hopefully give some good racing.

Think I mentioned in another thread good to see Russian Time using their funding to give some decent drivers a drive rather than go for sponsorship.

What happened?

Just seen the times, looks epicly close up the top so far. Also, just lol at the predictable lack of pace from Ma Qing Hahahah, the walking piggy bank

Good stuff from Calado and Nasr, I expected them to be front-runners based on their rookie year and it looks like they won't disappoint.

He's not last. He even outqualified Abt

That seems crazy, can only assume there was some stuff before that we didn't get to see... Well I'd hope so otherwise that decision is ridiculous.

Bit more info now.

It was found that between Turns 5 and 6, Cecotto was impeded by Bird during the Venezuelan’s fastest lap. As a reaction, the Arden driver deliberately forced the British driver off the track.
In consequence, the stewards have decided to issue Bird with a three place grid penalty while Cecotto has been excluded from the results of Qualifying as his reaction to being impeded by another driver were deemed unacceptable .
Bird will thus start from eighth place. Cecotto will start from the back of tomorrow’s Feature Race grid.

Most Journo's reckon Cecotto should have been given his marching orders.

And that was in retaliation for being blocked, I assume by accident, by Bird?

They really need to come down harder on this 'red mist' thing. Maldonado did it a few times and the penalty was always quite lapse. Forcing a driver off the road through deliberate actions should come with a ban.
