Grammar lesson 101

Sorry buddy, half a sleep here, didn't read the whole post and missed the spelling mistake. I thought it was odd for you to be asking a question like that. Quite ironic really in his post, really made me LOL!

did it by accident, noticed before anyone replied also then thought no point in correcting it

Sure you did. :p

Doesn't matter anyway, it's just the English language. Not an exam or a life or death matter. :)

good lord man it was a joke, a throwaway comment. I thought you were being sarcastic saying you got bored scrolling through the post and thought it quite a witty, yet 'catty' comment. :D

That's all. Show's over folks. :p

Miserble Biatc ......... erm ....I mean, erm, yeah! ........... ah well. ;) :D

Honestly, I don't think I was taught any grammar after primary school, it was all interpretation and creative stuff. Sure spelling etc was corrected when wrong but other than that nothing "proper". I spent a few years in an American school which messed with my spelling but at that time I read a lot of books so my vocabulary was decent, led to some major probs! lol I knew loads of words but couldn't spell them!

I'm sure this post is riddled with mistakes and I can't remember the my point!

When people (namely Americans) say: "I could care less". It is couldn't you ****ing *****. :)

If we are talking about typing, rather than speaking then there is not really much that annoys me.

I've always wondered about that saying. Should it actually read, "I couldn't care less"?

On a side note, this thread is certainly teaching me a few things which is a good thing. I hope everyone reading this thread is also learning a thing or two.

Fewer = Numerables
Less = Innumerables

"Earn points by using less bags at Tescos!"
Is NOT acceptable English!

Another thing! Tesco's "10 items or less" sign should read "10 items or fewer". That's a bit annoying and pretty bad for the nation's grammar. Someone at Tesco needs to brush up on it.

Isn't it just meant to be ironical?
