*** Grand Theft Auto IV - In-Game Chat [Spoilers] ***

I've got no missions/contacts on my map @ 32% :(

* My last mission for X was to use the camera to ID a baddie...
* Everyone on my phone list is away so I get their voicemail....
* I have applied for the position at that lawyers firm via Tw@t but not heard anything
* I still have car theiving missions for Brucie to do via email
* I can still date females. I'm close to gunning down Michelle if she complains about ME wearing the same clothes...look in the mirror ya goit!

That's it really. I did one or two missions for Francis last and haven't used any cheats either. I guess I'll try sleeping for a bit and seeing if that helps.

Is there a helicopter at the airport on the first island??? I can't find one anywhere, that and the fact i have police trying to kill me doesnt help!

Yeah, theres a police helicopter in there somewhere!

Has anyone met a girl called Sara? I was dropping off a date and she was outside her house, asked for a lift home and told her husband I was banging her all night. He got tough, so I shot him in the face :D

Yeh if by that you mean every character's ability, then yes I want it.

Heres the ones I've read about(taken from elsewhere):

Roman
Take Roman bowling, playing darts and pool, boozing, eating or to the strip club, and at 60% you'll be able to use his cab service free of charge from anywhere on the map.

Little Jacob
Rastaman Jacob loves nothing more than darts, strip clubs, shows, drinking, eating and pool. At just 60% he'll drive out to wherever you are with a car full of guns for purchase. Invaluable when you're nowhere near a gun shop.

Brucie
Brucie's a superb character - take him bowling, drinking and eating, to the strip clubs, cabaret shows, helicopter rides and boating, and at 70% you'll be able to make use of his helicopter for quick travel to sections of the map.

Dwayne
Dwayne likes strip clubs, eating and drinking, shows and bowling. Do enough and at 60% you can call on him for backup - he'll bring a car full of tough guys to help you out when needed.

Packie
Our Irish friend likes clubs, shows and bars, and at 75% you'll be able to make good use of his ability to convert any car into a massive bomb.

I don't think so, at least not initially. Maybe later... There's about four helipads at the northern end which I flew over earlier, so I guess something will spawn there later (I've just opened up the 2nd island and have done a few missions).

Hi guys This is the first GTA game that I have played and am looking for some advice on what to do ?

So far I have done a handful of missions, and have also been on 3 or 4 dates. But missions seem to have dried up abit:confused:What am I doing wrong can someone without doing major Spoilers sort of point me in the right direction with some hints and ideas please?

Again I have never played this type of game before and I'm starting to get fed up of taxing peeps around the city for my cousin:D

cheers all,

Thundypoo's

Lawyers will phone back during next day business hours only

Sleep it off :)

Not recieved a call from Mallorie at all?

She calls you around about this point....
Hmm I've done loads of sleeping now with no fresh calls or texts.
Haven't recieved a call from Mallorie yet, the last time I saw her was when I did a mission for Manuel, who has also gone awol.

I haven't done a decent mission in bloomin ages now. Starting to feel like something has gone really wrong. I've asked out Roman a few times hoping that would bring in some fresh calls but nothing yet.

the way the game works is usually you'll be working for somebody. The clue to your next mission will be to go to whoever you're working for.

Initially it will roman, then it will be vlad. You then have to choose whether to kill vlad or not.

Personally, i wasted him, just like i wasted Faustin

am i supposed to play the game in such a mean way. I seem to be going through crime boss like rick waller goes through pies.

Finished the story last night.

SPOILER

For those of you who have finished the story, did you choose the deal or the revenge? If you chose the deal, does Kate live?

SPOILER

I'm not quite sure I'm satfisfied with the ending.... it was a thrill from beginning to end but in the other GTA's it was a story about rising to the top. With this, the story just seems to come to an abrupt end. It would have been nice if there was a better ending.

I'd be interested to know too as I chose the revenge.

I think the ending would indicate that the episodic content to come would perhaps follow on from the current storyline.

I had the most problems rescuing 'somebody' from Dimitri, first time I did the whole thing, went to leave with my pal in the car and hit a bloody gas cylinder and killed us both. .

I did exactly the same thing earlier.

I am finding most of the missions pretty easy. I did 'Three Leaf Clover' earlier on my 2nd attempt after stocking up on armour. The mission I failed the msot so far has been one for Manny where you have to follow a train in a car, I KEPT ****ing that one up, I was getting so annoyed :p

For me, it was the final mission. Trying to get that jump just right on the sanchez was so annoying.

The jump is really easy, the trick is not trying to blast at it at full speed, as you usually hit obstacles that seem to be intentionally put in the way, you can just take a really short run up and jump off it.

I nailed it perfectly the first time going really fast, but I went so high that it didn't register and I fell in the sea and had to restart the mission :p

The first time I got it right, I lost concentration and held down L2, slowly descending the helicopter into the sea without realising :p
