*** Grand Theft Auto IV - The Official PS3 Multiplayer Arranging Thread ***

I tried yesterday. I could get online easily, but no-one I sent an invite could apart from joebob.

I am assuming it is not a port/NAT problem as I had played in the morning with some people who could not login in the evening.

As I mentioned elseweher, there is no way to browse open games easily and the host has the option to eiterh reserve x amount of friends slots and leave the rest public.

Only way to play with a mixture of people on and off your list would be reserve some slots, and then in the lobby kick people who are not on your list, that you don't recognise from OcUK.

Easiest way will still be if all people you wish to play are on your list (why you can't do send an invite and specify a PSN tag manually, I don't know).

I have zapped non GTA owning (heathens!) people from my list so have a few slots free. I will definitely be playing online tonight from 7ish onwards (Just a s cool way to explore the city and mess around without messing up my SP game save more than anything).

Ideal scenario would be 16 of us in a map, break the law and just fend off the police as long as we can, did this yesterday briefly but a few people did not get it and kept killing me!!!

Sorry for not accepting invites to games.

I'm just to wrapped up in the story at the moment!

I'll be on tonight, i would come and have a quick game but i would have to exit the game, turn my bluetooth headset on then pair up then load the game again. I may get my old Jabra one out so i can turn it on on the fly, this one pairs up while gaming.

Only managed to get 5 people on. Cops and crooks was OK but needs more people to be more fun.

Connection issues for quite a few people (they can't join games). No idea if it is a Sony/Rockstar problem or routers etc?

Disappointing. Will be online after The Apprentice, 9PM on BBC1 (finishes at 10PM). Hopefully more people will be online and willing to play online on PS3.

i just dont get it?? click multiplayer on the phone and it keeps coming up with game servers unavailable :(

Are you signed into PSN? What does the XMB connection test say your connection type is? Signed in and working fine in game here.

Cops and Crooks would have been better if I had a mic I think! I do have a USB one but not configured it yet, will have to get it sorted for next time. But yeah, a few more players would have been good.

It might be worth giving it a few days to calm down, a lot of people with network issues and other who will just be playing single player to start off with for a couple of days (many have stated this)

edit: that being said I only have two people from here on my PSN friends lists so I probably won't have much luck/ be of much help
