I'm really starting to regret getting a 1080p screen. The games end up looking like PS2 games when upscaled from 720p. GTA4 looks horrific on it! Turned it off after 20 minutes because it looks so naff

Word. It really does look like a good-looking PS2 game upscaled. Plenty of aliasing going on. Loving the characters though.

EDIT: I take it back. It's just an initial "what?" but I'm getting used to the look now. The game seems HUGE.

Aghhhhhh! git of a postman has left a 'Sorry you were out card'. And unsurprisingly didn't ring the sodding door bell. I can pick it up from the sorting office in 1 hour. Which is even more annoying 'cos it shuts in 1 hour. I really hate the royal mail.

quick question, do the cops have stingers in GTA4? like they had in Vice City, where you'd get sneaky cops standing on the pavement ready to throw them out at you

was gutted they'd removed them for San Andreas

Not that I have seen, but they are a good shot from a moving police car, the sounds the bullets make hitting your car is great...

Oh and the chopper doesn't make it easy to get away, though I found I got away from one bunch, thought I was in the clear only to have a few of them cutting me off at the next junction, and that ended in tears

I was driving at top speed to get away from 2 star police when I suddenly saw on the rader a full blockade. Thought, pfft easily just ram them, only to find that it was the entrance to the closed bridge and my stars shot to 6. Safe to safe I didn't last long.

My PS3 version arrived today and i only ordered it yesterday at 5:00pm lol

Ill be home at 5:30 and will be straight online... anyone fancy playing with me... i have just got my PS3 and have none of my mates added (all have 360's - so do i and ive had the game since last thursday due to working for a very popular video game store). I dont know my PSN name... *FORGOT* but can post when im home.

I have a headset aswell.

Gonna take a trot over to a store today to see if i can get one. Really not fussy if i do or not, these games always seem to bore me after the novelty of scooting around theiving stuff wears off (aka 10 minutes in max).

I just love the cars. I managed to flip a LCPD cruiser driving too fast and turning slightly... blew me away like paper in the wind true movie style.

I was really excited by GTA 4 and was getting so giddy it was untrue!

I played it and thought meh after 5 minutes of play... it seemed the same game but in a new city with new vehicles and better graphics!

However, after doing the first mission and driving around and interacting with people etc... i just thought omfg!

This is amazing an all the hype is defo justified... I just cant wait for my jaw to smash the floor tonight when i get to play online!
