*** Grand Theft Auto IV - The Official Thread ***

Havent really had a chance to play the game recently but last night went over to my mates place and he had it on his PS3 so had a go on it...enjoyed it because instead of playing the storyline we just went into freestyle mode and enabled a few cheats:p.

We ended up getting all the weapons then went on a shooting/blowing/killing spree...managed to get a 6 star rating as well. Took out a few helicopters with the rocket launcher:p....we then got bored and went to the strip club where we decided to blow the place up...never seen so many dead strippers:D.

Was good fun but i need to complete the story mode on the 360 so i can then mess about...
 
All the chars are crap tbh with the exception of Little Jacob and Badman. Brucie is just so hyper that I wanted to slap him the moment I met him, Roman is a pleb who should have got it together with Elizabeta - he doesn't deserve Marjorie the *********!!

Packie is decent, wish we'd seen more of the guy tbh. Dwayne, man he deserves to be in East Enders he is THAT depressing. Playboy actually wasn't bad now that I think of him.
 
Well i started this game last weekend (had to finish all my coursework!) and just finished it last night. I thought it was a great game but not 10\10.

Highlights for me were the story, decision making, aiming system (though it did make it a bit easy), taxis and of course brucie. Negatives included frame rate, dodgy controls in general, unresponsive cover system

I feel the series has moved forward but not by a huge leap though there was some great ideas in this game, just held back by a few problems. So... excellent but not perfect :)

i was just saying to a mate that id love to see a gta with more asian influence, with yakuza and triads. Maybe even the main character as an asian since they seem to have been through all the other stereotypical mob types
 
GTA IV was average, it still doesn't top San Andreas for me, SA was the best GTA game imo. I have completed GTA IV and done most of the side missions and I just cba with the rest of the game to be honest (and cba with 100%), I just got bored of it way to easy, unlike SA where I was playing it for months after I completed it. The graphics, physics and level of detail are all great but the rest of the game is just average imo and the new LC setting gets boring way too fast once you've seen it all.
 
quick question...how do you start a bowling game??
I've done it once when there where instructions but now when I go in to the alley, I don't know how to start up a game - no instructions come up when I go up to the bloke at the counter or if I go to one of the lanes :confused:.
 
Usually a pop up appaeras saying 'do you want to play a game $10' just after you have entered the door, so if u dont see it walk about near the entrance till it apperas and click the button then the guy behind the desk talks and says go to an empty lane to play
