Hmm so the only people who have it so far are either naughty pirates or people who can get hold of the actual stock (store workers etc). I must say I am surprised the release date is holding, especially in the supermarket juggernauts.

I'm also quite surprised no supermarkets broke the release date - if one of them had they would have huge sales, and could probably get away with 2 days of sales at £39.99!

it contains “strong violence, very strong language, and sex and drugs references”.

It advises consumers that violence is “a central theme” of the game, with the character taking on several missions which involve “killing in return for money and other in-game rewards”.

“The character can gain use of a variety of weapons including machine guns, Molotov cocktails, a serrated knife and a rocket propelled grenade launcher,” it says.

“Injuries and death are shown with blood including blood projected onto nearby walls, windscreens and the camera lens.”

Hell yeah!

Too bad the game feels completely different to the old GTA games thus making it not feel right only on a Playstation.

I was in my local every little help store at 6ish this am but no sign of the game , not even empty boxes! After almost getting hyped about it from a quick glance of this thread I went in on the off chance it could be on sale.
Mark my words, just like when forza2 was released my 360 will 3ROL and I will be most put out! But if all goes to plan I am off for a week so i'll be on it!

Well I went to the local store and they said Tuesday. I said, that your head office said today, so they went to check out the back and they came back and told me they haven't had a delivery.

Oh well I'll just wait for my pre order.

Trip to one: Failed

Decided to stop off at two on the way home. Got to the desk and asked for a copy of GTA IV on the PS3, even though there were boxed out saying 29th April on them. As soon as I asked a customer next to me said "That's not out til Tuesday" but the girl had already left to get the game from the back. I could have punched the guy.

The guy said it's not out again and the manager turned out and said "No that's just the 360 version that's out Tuesday. The PS3 one was out today".

Inserted card. Entered PIN. Made a dash for the exit and heard the guy ask for one too lmao.

Bread pic: removed. Had store name on receipt. Sorry guys - Kemik

So, what does everyone reckon on the chances of shops shipping the game today?

I have read somewhere that if you paid extra for next day delivery, they will not post until Monday, as this will guarantee you get it on release. If you didn't pay extra, they are posting it earlier, so there is a slim chance you might get it Monday.

If that is the case, I am seriously annoyed I paid extra for next day delivery. This is all just internet rumours though so I am taking it with a pinch of salt.
