EGM Review:

Grand Theft Auto IV - A+, A+, A
Good: World, relationships, story
Bad: Some missions canned, control takes getting used to
PS3 or 360 version: 360 for DLC, PS3 version looks slightly more vibrant and sharp

what about frame rates? is there a link to the review?

ive heard it installs onto the ps3's hd, right? but not onto the 360's

went into my town today to all the game shops, even rang the local supermarket and no luck. went into a independent game shop and asked if they was selling it today and they reply i get was "if you put £5 down you can have it tuesday" that aint what i asked!!!:(

whats better ps3 version or 360 or are they identical in performance?
They're supposed to be comparable in performance but the PS3 has a (mandatory?) install sequence where the 360 just plays off the disc so I'd imagine the PS3 loads/streams quicker than 360.

Like most (quality) multiplatform titles the core differences are so minor that it comes down to preference: ie. which console's pad you prefer and whether you wish to pay for multiplayer and/or future DL content.

Indeed :)

It's from NeoGAF, EGM reviews and rumors are always posted there every month. You would have to buy the magazine to get a review. Sounds like both versions are fine and I'm happy with that.

This whole situation is just frustrating to the max - I've been everywhere and nowhere here is selling it. The fact that it seems to be complete luck whether you get a copy today or not is frankly unacceptable - Take2 should either give in and simply allow it to be sold or just have not allowed it to ship from distrubutors this far in advance.

It's just so stupid.

Jealous? Yes, damn right I am. But the fact is nobody should be jealous - either we should all be able to buy it, or we should all have to wait until Tuesday.
It's a lottery as to who manages to get it that's for sure, but for me it's just a case of good on those who manage to get it early, I'll wait til tuesday. There's no way of stopping absolutely everyone from getting it early, but there's also no point feeling bitter if you're not so lucky. I'd have liked to have gotten hold of it today, but that's more because I'd have a weekend to get stuck in straight away, as opposed to not being able to wait a few more days.

Naturally when we want something, we also want it asap, that's just the way we are. But look at it this way, come a few days time, you will be going through the whole 'playing GTA IV for the first time' experience, whilst that is already gone for some. Just as we were all unhappy when it was delayed in the first place, but if it did hit the original release date then GTA IV would already be well behind us rather than something we can still look forward to.

Roll on the 29th.

360 +GTA4 is £200 and ps3 +GTA4 is £300

i dunno..bluray player would be cool

i just want to drive around and run people over, it never gets boring

+ MGS4 (I'm bias)

If your finding it hard to figure out what system to buy then just look into what each games are on the system and decide what ones you like most. There are plenty of threads on here about both systems.
