*** Grand Theft Auto IV - The Official Thread ***

To be fair...I bet a LOT of people do actually care whether other people's copies have been posted. They seem to care about EVERY other aspect about the game, related to the game or not. The last thread showed that much. However, suddenly a 'rule' is set in place that you can't post about your order status and everyone is up in the air when someone does. The fact that the post was followed by about ten replies, all nonsense, and caused this thread to fill up with even more rubbish.
 
Jesus, a lot of fuss about nothing. Everyone here can honestly say that when they come into a thread this big they've never posted without reading the first post? I know I don't, and seeing as mentioning that your game has been posted has never been an issue in the past for other games, why assume it suddenly is in a GTA thread?

Depth of Field. I see this thread is fast descending into flaming, lovely.

It will be nice when the game is actually out and we can talk about it and get some good multiplayer games going. I know that some people are saying the rushing around to supermarkets etc is 'sad' but really it's just a bit of fun... no one's going to die if they don't get the game but they may as well try and who knows they might get lucky.

Never before in all my years of been a member of this forum have I seen so many backstabbing, sulky little bratts as some people on here. Some of you have REALLY surprised, you spoilt, jealous and petty little turds.

IF someone want to go round town all day look for someplace to sell it, then let them, does it really matter that they are high on a rush.

Jeesuz, and people wonder why most of the other members of OcUK say the Console section is full of kids. :rolleyes:

Ok guys I'm ****** off to the eyeballs here. The game works fine etc but I have 2 problems.

1: Random freezing. For no reason the game just freezes, cannot even access dashboard.

2: Wireless adapter doesn't work, in fact nothing on the USB ports work! the wireless section is greyed out all *** time regardless of what I do:

****** annoying, so much so that I'm not going to keep the 360, I'm returning it and refunding the wireless adapter. what a waste of time all to end up with a faulty 360 :mad:

I'm just going to wait for the PC version rather than put up with this BS Microsoft call a console.
 
Just done the shopping for my mam because she's a bit ill and my local supermarket doesnt have it up for sale yet, still the 'Coming Soon - April 29th' stickers on the boxes. They'd also sold out of Wii Fit too for those that care lol.

Could it be you've possibly overlooked something?
Instead of getting your knickers in a twist and raging, it could be something simple. Then again, nothing is simple with 360's. :p

I work in tech support, I don't overlook things as technical as this hehe. I'm just amazed and annoyed that I get all the luck ever and manage to get the game today and then cannot play it because it freezes and cannot get online as the USB doesn't work... sod it I'm sticking to PC gaming

There's only 3 games on there I want and that's GTA4 and Res Evil 5 and MGS4 but none of my mates have a PS3 and I don't need a bluray player (I did consider it before getting the 360 as you may have read in other threads!)


It looked so pretty in 1080p :(

I presume you've only just bought it? I would do a bit of Googling before you actually take it back.

Try the adapter in another USB port.

If still no luck, take the 360 back (bring the wireless dongle with you) and say "This 360 doesn't pick up this wireless dongles existence when it's plugged in" ... you might wanna check it's not a faulty wireless dongle if you have a mate with a 360 first though.

Then you have the choice of a refund or another 360... personally I'd get another 360 before I get a refund. If I had two dodgy ones in a row though I'd certainly throw in the towel - I have no patience for sub-standard goods when I've paid good money for them so I wouldn't expect you to, either.

Maybe it is a bit of fun to some but to others it was a chance to rub other peoples noses in it rather than trying to get the game so they can actually play it asap.
