***Grand Theft Auto VI***

People will always complain about something. Let them, at least we will get (got) much better games.
Wasnt Crysis (2007) ported to consoles years later, but looked terrible even then as detail and draw distance were massively toned down and level probably completely cut out?

Id go as far as saying OG Crysis looks better than some console and PC games of today.

It would be interesting to see if Crysis would even run on a PS5 Pro at 1080p with a solid 60fps.

This isn't your regular "complain". If 3080 is minimum, that means something like 720p or 1080p @30 fps minimum details. Just to get 60fps you'll need to double the power. If you check at TPU the data sheet for rtx 3080, you'll see that they put the 4090 only 87% ahead - roughly, couldn't even give 60fps... Now sure, if it's path tracing, then it will faster than that, but still, probably couldn't get 1440p 60fps without frame gen. You won't have enough players to turn around the budget making the game since people will not flood the stores to get the 4080s and 4090s ... and 5080s and 4090s... (maybe 5070s :)) ).

People expect high end to drive 4k@60 minimum, perhaps even 120fps...

3080 minimum is even high, I'd guess, than Cyberpunk with path tracing.

Not overly sure what people expect from GTA VI but given R* is now run by the money men, and has been for a number of years.. RDR2 was their last passion project..

I now find it hard to believe they even care about the actual gamers, or games, as long as they keep the $ rolling in, they will be happy..

Wouldn't overly surprise me if online is subscription only, over and above the PS plus and of XBox game pass or whatever it's called. And don't forget subscription season passes, for all future single player updates / DLC..

It's the future :)

Let us hope not, but I can see them offering some sort of 'premium' offering with cash and other items being given 'free' with it each month. Let's just hope they don't limit free players in some way 'play for 30 hours a month free!' style or make the premium players have something that makes them more powerful like extra health or something. Knowing Take Two and their relentless pushing of Shark Card I have no doubt such discussions have been had. And if this is the case then MS could do a lot worse than cut a deal with them for 'free Premium with Gamepass' or something similar.

Who cares as long as the single player game "works" ?

If that is sub based then I am not interested.

Online / money has already ruined the franchise in anycase imo.

Trailer 2 is 27th December, apparently.

I never fully completed GTA 5, I am tempted to reinstall it and start a new game whilst waiting for GTA6 as I may just buy a PS5 pro just for that since we know the PC version is 3+ years after console release. Selling the bundle after completing won't exactly lose me much money at all.

Install it in about 2 years time so it will be fresh in your memory for when GTA 6 releases on PC. Lol
