Ive just realised that we don't actually have any sort of gallery for peoples Photoshop/Vector/3D work on here. I know we are getting the graphics challenge off the ground, but IMO it would also be nice to have a thread just for people to post previous work etc. So ive decided to start one. :) This is what ive spent the evening playing with;

Questions and constructive critisism is very welcome.

1 frame from an animation i did in Maya.

It took the best part of two weeks to string 20 seconds together.

Fish and eels swim up to the camera from a distance and then the camera follows them as they dissappear into the distance.( Everything animated including the bubbles )

Looks pretty basic now , I made it about 4 years ago.

Very Nice, any chance of getting it in 1280 x 1024?

Can do, but it might look a bit weird as its designed in widescreen. Do you want it 1280x800, or the sides cropped off or extra black at the top and bottom?

can we post drawings too?

I certainly don't see why not.. post away. :)

nice work there mrdbristol. I did Computer animation at uni, so I know how long it can take to set up only a few seconds of animation. The satisfaction at the end makes up for it though IMO.

Cool Image, What did you use to make it.

All photoshop. Mainly various brushes and a couple of stock texture maps for the planet. Great pic there by the way. Is that done with blurred vectors for the colours?

(if its too big in size you can change it to a link)

the rest can be seen in the 'cartoon colouring' thread that i started :)

This one I designed as a giant wallhanging thing. Its been printed out across 20 A4 pieces of paper, and mounted on a board of MDF, with a cold cathode mounted behind. Im quite pleased with how its turned out.
