Hi

I've tried setting games to 1 core and all that, but they still seem to jerk.. :(

And in CCC the 3D View it jerks in there.. what could the problem be because it's kinda hard to play games. :(

AMD64 X2 Dual Core 3800+
Artic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro CPU Cooler
ASUS A8N-E nForce4 Ultra PCI-E
Mushkin 2GB DDR Enhanced Performance Dual Kit

i found the omega drivers are very good with X1900, also do you set AA/AF within CCC or the game

and have you tryed restarting into safe mode and using drivercleaner pro?

lay-z-boy - it was the same with 6.5

Lynx24 - It cant be drivers, since it was like I said, same with 6.5.

I use AA and all that in games yes.

Flicker is v coming amongst ATI's X1xxx series. Definately a ccc problem and something ATI is currently pushing under the carpet. I experience a few flickers a day, nothing major but just catches the eye.

Many people on other forums believe its a ccc problem and I happen to believe also. Nothing wrong with card just flickers now n then. Anyone else has this? I'm suprised hasn't come up b4?

King :)

I think you are talking about something completely different - in which case why not make a seperate thread about it ? -

OP I am guessing you have additional power attached to the board? And to the X1900 itself?

You did install the PCIE drivers before the Cat's?

There are no mystery items in your device manager are there?

What can help with jerkiness is disabling the paging executive in the registry and optimizing memory for system cache rather than programs, though there is obviously another problem with your setup.

^What does that mean. Something was up with what card?

You might want to have a play with your PCI latency on your components.

Downoad PCILatency Tool 3.

But to be honest until you learn how to post details and propper descriptions of your problems I don't know why anyone should bother to help.

Well i had this problem when i first used the CCC to, i switched to the Omega's and the problem disappeared.

However, when i added my Raptor in and reinstalled i decided to give the CCC another try and it hasnt happened again, so far so good.

It sounds like your talking about screen skip where it's as if it misses out the odd frame.
You also say it started after switching drivers which is what happened to me, the only way I found to fix it was to completly remove all traces of previous driver using drivecleaner.

Sometimes going back to previous working drivers fixes it aswell.

Isn't about time ATI fixed this probelm you see it on nearly every forum,I won't install new drivers now unless they fix a specific problem I have it's just not worth the risk of getting screen stutter/skip.
