Great ATI Radeon 4800 Deals from OcUK on both Graphics Cards & Coolers/Heatsinks!!!

guys do we expect 4870's to ever get to £150?
I was waiting for that price and want to be ready for far cry 2
maybe by xmas?
running a 640mb GTS atm...
good to see prices falling regardless:)

Nope. It was ATI that done something :D. Released a cheap monster that is within the performances of the GTX 280 for nearly half the price. £170inc Vs £305inc hmmmm.

Thing is that most places are arround £350 so apart from OCUK's crazy low £305 it is half price

lol it's only a few months ago people were paying upto £135-£140 for a X1950Pro AGP, crazy performance for £170 this :D

It's a GPU lovers dream in 2008 ;)

ps great deals these

Ahh, I've only seen OCUK's pricing on this card and didn't know this. Well done OCUK. Maybe throw a free E7200 with the GTX 280?. That might help sales :p (just joking - to all Nvidia lovers and GTX 280 owners).

I didn't expect the 48-- cards to be this good. Yes, I did expect better performances but nothing like this and at such great prices. 2008 is the time for high end gaming that doesn't cost over £200 (well for ATI).

Your probably asking why is one of Samsungs latest monitors so cheap, well let me explain:-
1. Its a one of deal - 1000pc, once gone, that its no more....
2. Its a 21.6" model but fact is the panel is identical in size to the 2253BW, just like the 223BW and 226BW are both the same size, even though the 223BW is marketed as smaller.
3. Samsung have lost the plot?

Its a great deal, superb looking monitor, fantastic specification at an amazing price. Stock is due in approx 1-2 weeks so get your pre-orders in now. :)

About 12 screws off the 4870 cooler, then fit the new one is just 4 screws on the Vortexx.
You would not guess that we rate them would you, halved the idle temperature on the 4870 that I did and the load never went above the stock idle. The card was fully driver clocked in the ATI driver. :)

Very nice very nice.

Would one of these fit my good old 2900XT? and if so do you need ram sinks aswell or does the vortex cool the lot?

Thanks :)

Storming deal on the 30" dell as in £150 please =D

It's a shame the cheapest OCUK delivery = £8 because despite being some of the cheapest card prices I've seen when you add on delivery competitors become cheaper again :/.

You need a reduced/saver delivery imo gibbo =)

Before I commit myself to one of these 4870s, can Gibbo confirm Gainward's warranty period, how long is it and will it be dealt with OCUK or directly with Gainward?

Sorry, saw it, only 1 year, think I'm gonna go for Sapphire's!
