I think the Hero bonus refers to the Defence and Attack bonus that you can train them to give the army they are marching with.

Looks like a good way to level up a hero, except it takes days to regenerate health

However since the guy is just a cppl of squares away as well as being a junior member of a big alliance i let them go gratis as an act of good faith. Mind you i didn't realise that releasing captives destroys some of your traps so next time i'll be demanding a ransom for sure.

Should be able to start creating my military by tonight or tommorow.

Almost all resource points are are level 2, got my cranny to level 5 and my trapper is about to hit level two. My main building is already 3 and I have a rally point.

After all my traps etc are built i'll be building my barracks and phalanx. It's all coming together now... Pop 46.

this person was attacking me. keep upping your cranny and eventually he will go away.

Is the trapper a building or a unit? I built the tapper building and only have the option to build traps.

Just starting to get the hang of resource management. Got a couple of scary neighbours, pops 80 and 100 so building my cranny fast (lvl5 by today)

The trapper falls under the heading of a building. The only option you have within it is to build traps. Well worth it even though it is another cost. Very effective and one of the biggest Gaul benefits.

I just an abusive message from a neighbour today complaining about being raided too much (I thought he was idle) and that it was oh so unfair. So now I need to step up the beatings
