Are heros a must? Or should you have a small army to coincide?

I had a Hero, he died. They seem to be very powerful, but until an army of 30+ guys is nothing special, don't worry about one.

Sorry about the embassy guys. I am building a few more units first, as I need them to get my raids up and the hopefully then the resources to keep building the embassy.

That's ok, I'll just continue getting RSI clicking on the Accept button in the meantime

somebody mentioned getting resources from unoccupied areas of the map where there are not villages - can anyone expand on that?

Also, I'm just starting on my military as a Gaul and am starting with Phalanx's. What could be considered a reasonable number as a defending force?

If i remember correctly, you need a Hero to annex the unoccupied area/oasis and a Heros Mansion of level 10! At Level 15 you can annex 2, lvl20 3. I think you'd need around 100-150 population? Just guessing.

Right, a new embassy will be build today. I hope I'll have enough to start construction in a few hours.

I've added invites for Lolly and Karl and revoked Solari's and Frosti's. That means there are three invites outstanding, the three of you will get in (emailiscrap's is still active). If the three places are not all taken by tonight, I'll add a few others semi-randomly.

Minstadave, are you still wanting an invite, your pop is rather low, but I'll make an exception if you are still keen.

I'll donate some resources to help you upgrade your embassy if you like, I can give you about 200 of each this afternoon.

It's only about £1.50 for 30 gold, I already bought some because I went nuts with the options. Oh and upgrading to travian plus is not really worth it in my opinion although there may be features I haven't discovered yet.

I like it when I wake up in the morning with plenty of resources, and somebody has attacked during that time and walked away with nothing.

I love Cranny

The day after my noob protection I was attacked 3 times without even knowing it. 6 times in total. I have logged every resource every attacker has taken and I will reclaim it all with interest.

The only have a pop of 27 though, and are romans, so my gaulish ways should see me fine.

I've just been attacked!

He sent 14 swordsmen and I killed one and trapped 10 and them!
He got no loot either and only killed one of my troops!

What can I do with the troops I have captured?
