Great Browser Game - Travian

2 things :-

1. Whats the best way of increasing your population?

2. Ive noticed that when raiding an undefended village that the results are usually 11 times the number of units when sending legionairre's (e.g 3 units = 33 of each resource gained / 6 units = 66 of each resource gained). So does this keep increasing in proportion?

I've missed out on an invite a few times now as I've been at work and playing web games is a bit dodgy there!

Any chance of one soon? :) I can send some resources for upgrading the embassy...

i would guess its because the units you are sending have a carrying capacity of 44 or 45 so 11 of each resource split evenly ?

some can carry 60 so these would get 15 of each i assume
 
has anyone tried annexing an oasis yet ?

from what i've read it increases your resource output by up to 50%

if you get one with two fields that is

I got some soldier dudes now. How do I keep them out of the village and hense out of harms way? Or do you just have to constantly raid?
 
I'm a noob just started, looking to join when i can build an embesy in about 10 hours from now (the morning i guess) the name's the same as my sig :cool:

Yeah, I looked into in, and I really want to, but you need a level 10 Heroes Mansion first, and that requires quite a few resources.

Question for our Glorious leader Caustic. ( and anyone else :p )

I will have my 2 macemen ready about 6.00pm and i'm itching for my first raid :D

2 options :

A couple of neighbours seem to have not moved from 21/22 pop in the last fews days.

An Unoccupied oasis - 12 rats / 12 spiders / 6 wild boars
( i've read an oasis gives 400each resource so multiple raids to cary it all back )

Which would be my best 1st raid out of the 2 options ?

Also , i'f anyones got a market place i've got excess Clay - need iron/wood.

If you attacking with 2 macemen I would look around for a village with only 2 people in it. There is usually a few about. Might have to scroll around on the map a bit.

I don;t know if 2 macemen could defeat a larger village with potentially their own troops or defences.

Didn't see this until today as work has downdgraded the internet to a 1mb line for 80 people (Director decision :o )

Will keep an eye on the thread and hopefully get Lolly in soon :)

On a level 9 Cranny so holding out well.

Thats the jackpot. The chances of them having much defenses are almost zero. If they have no troops, then 2 macemen will do the trick on any size village I think. Also, it is better if they are not Gauls, so they can't have a trapper.

Just don't touch the oasis.
 
Just to the right hand side of your main building near the centre of the village.

1 is a Gaul , the other a Teuton ( like me ).

Teuton first then :p
