Greedy Gallas?

Don't be so silly, you're just recycling rubbish that get's posted time & time again. Arsenal are not squeaky clean & Chelsea don't eat babies, only Sun readers believe that.
Gallas said:
"I wanted to leave Chelsea and Arsenal was the perfect club for me," Gallas told The People.

"They wanted me, they are a team going for all the honours, and I am very happy in London and I have a lot of friends here.

"I am happy that I have joined Arsenal. I'm sure I will be treated better by their coaching staff than I have been by Mourinho in the last year.

"I wish Cole luck and I hope he has the patience to put up with his manager."

While conceding that Mourinho is a more than accomplished trainer, Gallas has blasted his man-management skills - pointing to his spats with several players in the past.

"Mourinho is a good trainer but he is fickle with his players," he added.

"What has happened to me has happened in the past to Ricardo Carvalho, Mateja Kezman, Paulo Ferreira, Asier Del Horno and Hernan Crespo.

"He uses us for his convenience. In the past few years I have had offers from Italy and Spain but I stayed loyal to Chelsea.

"But this has counted for nothing with Mourinho and that is sad. Mourinho has pressured me constantly as if he wanted to get the press and the fans against me.

"I don't understand it. In the dressing room my team-mates have been supportive but Mourinho is the boss and so nobody has spoken out for me.

"In football terms, Chelsea were great for me because I won things there but it was if I had become a nuisance for Mourinho and I don't understand why."

If you come out with stuff like that, why shouldn't the club reveal what they felt went on behind the scenes?

Well what i posted was my own opinion thank you, the fact or otherwise that other people express that opinion perhaps means it has a shred of truth. Also that report and chelsea's statement still looks like a point of view issue to me, and chelsea's statement does nothing to dispel the point that it looks like a fallout between gallas and mourinho. If gallas and mourinho had a fallout it is not fair for chelsea to condemn gallas in that manner and like i said probably just a bit of clever marketing.

Shocking behaviour from gallas really. It is the equivalent of you or I calling in to work and saying unless you give me a rise I will either give all the secrets to a big competitor or just simply not turn up.

On a different note, someone told me that before he got the job Mouriniho said he would rather manage Liverpool over Chelsea...

And even the most diehard chelsea fan would have to admit mourinho is a bit of a ****head.

I'll ignore your last post, I'm not that hungry.
Considering what Gallas came out with, it's hardly surprising that Chelsea released a statement, but of course it's only Chelsea who do wrong in these situations.

Hmm seems like youre just recycling the often posted view that chelsea are the victims of a media conspiracy. Like I said, the situation looks like a fallout between gallas and mourinho and gallas wanted out and chelsea are uisng it to score some points.

A statement like that on the official website?

Chelsea, a bunch of classless fools.

Couldn't have said it better myself, smacks of playground temper tantrums, maybe if Gallas had said "Morinho is a peehead" then i'd understand. Yes his original statement was having a go at Mourinho, but how many people have a go at Wenger and Fergie, yet they take care of business behind closed doors, its an example of the contempt and shameless behavoir thats been coming out of Stamford Bridge in recent years.

Its a shame really, i remember when i used to admire Chelsea as a strong London team who always competed, now i just see a bunch of money mongering brats.

will also add that it is well timed considering the criticism mourinho has recieved regarding the 'slave' comment today. Classic bit of spin.

Hmm I'm talking about what get's posted in here, you seem very keen to blame Chelsea for the spat without acknowledging that Gallas was out of order in the first place, proves my point.

Ok but my point was it seems that this situation has arisen because of a fallout between gallas AND mourinho. To say they have a mutual disagreement or to put it another way they are both as bad as each other if you want. Anything beyond that seems to be spin and in this case chelsea as a club seem to be acting the most offensively. Gallas has said mourinho is hard to work with and that is why he wanted to leave, chelsea reckon he's just a money grabber and a blackmail artist, neither are provable unless other people come forward which is highly unlikely and chelseas statement seems a bit over the top.

BTW, as I have a Chelsea fan's attention I will just say that you are finito when Makelele retires and we'll see how good fat frank is then! :D

Chelsea are like the tabloid of the Premiership, like The Sun, or Eastenders. thet just LOVE AIRING THEIR DIRTY LAUNDRY IN PUBLIC. It truly is pathetic, they are just pushing Gallas to start a libel case and thus unsettling him and ruining the start of his career at Arsenal.
Chelsea are coming for you in your sleep rossyl

Do you not think though that the statement released by Chelsea is incredibly unecessary and shamefully worded for an official response, thats the kind of thing you hear on a blog.

When Ashley Cole was hawking on about being made a scapegoat Wenger stayed silent and said privately "we'll sell you to Chelsea if the deal is right", he didn't release a stament saying "Ashley Cole has been a traitor to the club who made him a worldwide star and has shamed the fans and the club heritage by breaking contract and meeting rivals behind the managers back".....thats the right way to do it.

When Van Nistelrooy was being a brat at the end of last year, Fergie stayed silent and not once criticised him openly, same with Ronaldo when he was refusing to sign a contract.

Same with Carrick and Jol, same with West Ham and half the players they've been forced to sell over the last few years.

I just think it makes Chelsea look worse, that Abramovich/Kenyon/Buck are releasing statements like this that shame the name of the club, it seems to show how immoral the management of the club is from the top down.

Sometimes a dignified silence can say so much more.

Im not 100% sure that everything in that statement is true. They say he refused to play Vs Liverpool in the FA cup semi and iirc he played (and didn't look to play poorly etc). If he did refuse to play then why on earth did Chelsea still pick him? Surely if a player refused to play or threatened to play poorly then you would drop him straight away.
Another thing (not relevant to this statemennt) but why was Makelele given extra time off after the WC final but Gallas had to return on time?
To me it just seems as if both sides are comeing out with stories to make them look the inicent party. Similar thing happened when Liverpool sold Fowler, the club had to come up with some type of story to prevent a backlash from the fans.

I've already said I think it's harsh, but if they want to make a statement they have a right to, especially in this situation.

Hmm that's a bit like say someone called me a name and then i turned round and nutted them then said, 'hey i had a right to retaliate'.
