Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [11th - 14th Sep 2020]

Really don't think Klopp would've underestimated them, just think Bielsa would've done his homework and known to attack the space behind our fullbacks and to press us which is what they kept doing.

The lacklustre way Liverpool played the ball about and allowed Leeds to press them into mistakes (VVD gave the ball away for the 2nd goal and the 3rd goal came from a Liverpool throw) would suggest they were too cocky and certainly looked like the players took them too lightly

Always twisting stats to what makes Liverpool look best. Liverpool are so far off what they have been pre lockdown. Please remember this is a newly promoted side we are talking about here who were also playing away.
lol which stat have I twisted exactly? You made a lazy comment which the stats disprove. Leeds were expected to get beaten easily so because they weren't and because Liverpool didn't play great, people then jump from one extreme to the other. Liverpool didn't play well but still massively dominated the game - the stats make that very clear.

You telling me you’d keep clean sheets against City, Chelsea and United in this sort of form?

People say the same **** all the time, look at City’s defence for quite a while now and still other top 6 teams rarely got any kind of result and routinely pasted

I don’t know what would happen but playing Liverpool is not enticing really to any of those teams, they all got beaten when it mattered (except Ole last season)

Saint-Maximin must be an absolute nightmare to play against, it's like he doesn't even know himself what he's going to do so you've got no chance.

West Hams approach seems to be just to kick him at every opportunity :p

Yea, I'd imagine he'd drive you crazy if he played for you too. He's a maverick that will swing from the ridiculous to the sublime every game.

Well deserved lead for Newcastle.... their new signings are all looking good, forgot they picked Hendrick up on a free!!

West Ham have looked very rusty.

It'll be interesting to see how Wilson does over the season. With the exception of the 18/19 season, his goalscoring record isn't that impressive and it felt last season that he became a better player the less he played (due to his injuries) because Bournemouth struggled.

edit: he played 35 League games last season? For some reason I thought he was out injured for 2-3 months.
