Incidentally what happens with Gabriels yellow card there? As technically that foul wasn't a foul.

Would be interesting if someone got sent off in that circumstance then they ruled it offside!

Edit: oh it is wiped fair enough!

Gets rescinded. Its as if nothing ever happened. Same as when Pickford snapped VVD but it was totally fine because it was offside.

How hard is it to see he is off.

Well considering we only have one side of the picture, very from our point of view. Don't you remember in the WC when there was the hoo haa about the ball going over the back line against Spain I think it was. Haaland was blocking our view from this side but the defender could have been level with a body part from the other side.

Yes any foul that is due to taking the last man/denial of goal scoring is rescinded if the player was offside. I think violent conduct remains though.
Violent conduct and serious foul play (which includes the Pickford challenge on VVD that Fez mentioned) are still reds regardless of whether there was an offside or foul in the build-up to the incident.

Thank you. I don’t know if the Pickford VVD incident, so might have gone over my head as a reference.

Has that been changed since the VVD incident or was it just a classic case of making a massive balls up on the part of the ref.
