Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [12th - 14th Jan 2021]

Martial and Rashford are just not good finishers when they have time and space. They're more likely to score while falling over having beaten 5 defenders.

So exactly the same as our title challenge come the end of the season. I'm not seeing the downside.
It really would be a terrible end to a terrible period if your spawny lot won the League so it's just the right thing to end it now and start again in August.

I don't care as long as I do not have to wait 30 years for it to happen again.

Realistically I still think city will win it. They were on another level the other night.

You're well on your way to it happening Adam. 8 years and counting, it soon builds up.

And although I think City are now favourites, I think people are going slightly ott with them. For the past 18 months City have swung from the ridiculous to the sublime. Their issue hasn't been their results in the biggest games but they've been dropping lots of points to the poorer sides. Their fixture list is ****ing insane too. They're going to be playing every 3 days until the end of May. Had we been playing anybody but you then I'd have happily seen us knocked out of the FA Cup just to ease our fixtures this season.

That's what officials give though, which is what I said re the possible handball too. In neither incident did I give my view on the rule, just what is and isn't usually given.

Unless its West Brom vs Liverpool. This is whats so infuriating...i think Maguire fouls him and its the correct call but wheres the consistency? Same ref i believe aswell.

Refs this season have been so inconsistent. When you have refs coming out months later admitting massive errors, errors that are reviewed by another few fellas in a booth somewhere you have to question the competency.

That by Maguire two months ago is a penalty. I mean the full time whistle went and United were given a similar pen this season alone.

A great result for the neutrals, time to see if the mentality monsters still have it on Sunday :)

Sunday isnt my worry to be honest, my worry is the run of games we have after that, Spurs, Man City, Leicester, Everton, in our next 6 games. We've got a much tougher next few weeks than Utd or City and it may well be that by the time thats over we'll be too far behind

I think you will be pretty worried if you're 6 points behind United come Sunday evening.

It's 1st v 2nd (as of now) and is the biggest fixture for the fans every season in the league.

The run of games looks ominous but you've struggled more against the bottom sides this year who sit in a deep block.
