You've spent a billion since you last won the league, what players are 'safe' in your scenario? How many players/how much will this cost? what happens when you are no closer after a season or 2? Scrap it all and start again?

As I said in my previous post I don't think many are safe.
DeGea, Varane, Dalot, Shaw, Elanga, Sancho are players who I think are worthy.
Cavani, Pogba, Lingard, Martial and Greenwood all look like they are leaving. Maybe Ronaldo too. That's a huge void in your first team so Rangnick really needs to bring through some younger players once fourth is lost as it surely will be .

Bruno, McSauce and Rashford probably stay but Matic and Mata will go. That's seven first team players at least who will go. A lot by any standards and means a complete reset and a change in the culture of the dressing room. Anything less than that and the same issues will remain. This team are mentally weak and it didn't matter who the coach is.

Players change and improve. Surely it's worth giving him a chance under a new manager and new system while he's on form, rather than leaving him to rot

He's 29 he's not suddenly going to be a top player. He has got shots, other than one particularly good goal he's been the same Lingard he has for 5 odd years.

There has been an improvement IMO. We have been better defensively, a bit more limited in attack as a result, but you can't really facilitate for players fluffing chances every week.

I'm actually disappointed with Ronaldo now, whatever people say about his work rate etc, he has to be doing better with these chances. It's just not acceptable. I fear we're starting to see a serious decline now...
Definitely started a rapid decline now. Has to go in the summer. The MLS beckons for a 1 season payday.

Maupay with a lovely finish!

Feel a little lucky to be ahead, Watford have had some good breaks.

Our next three fixtures we are getting naff all from. We didn’t buy players as we didn’t want to block the youth, yet rely on Roberts coming on every game. Atrocious vision by the board

Why on Earth would you get rid of Bielsa?
The damage was done doing nothing in January.

Not strengthening in January was madness. Bielsa is stubborn. If we keep playing the same way and making the same subs we're in real danger of going down.
