We always concede some wonder goal against Spurs scored by someone random if the usual forwards aren’t up to much (today Lamela, in the past Rose and Townsend). Was absolutely galling after playing quite well and hitting the bar. Hit the post as well before Odegaard had his slice of fortune so was thinking it’s going to be one of those days.

Looked like he tried to block the ball but Lacazette ended up kicking his foot with the follow through after wildly missing.

Because the idea of a penalty is to compensate the attacking team for a foul that could have prevented a goalscoring opportunity. If you make a complete mess of your shot then that opportunity is gone. There are plenty of things I don't think should be penalties however. Smacking the ball out of play just before a defender grazes you for example.

If that tackle was anywhere else on the pitch its a free kick but your saying because he fluffed his shot its not a pen

Thats what I thought but I would like to see it a few more times. Lacazette swung wildly and missed and the follow through from the shot was what caused contact.
