Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [13th - 19th January 2023]

Ronaldo's first 3 seasons he didn't do that well, it wasn't until his 4th season before he hit his stride. I'd say this season is a freebie.
Ronaldo was 18 when he joined United. It was also pretty clear from day one-ish that he had potential. Can't say I see that with Antony, especially compared to Garnacho.

I know he was 18, that's why i said give Anthony this season as a freebie, not 3.

And technically, he already has more goals than Ronaldo in his first season so he's already ahead...yes I know he is 22.

RE:Viera
Yes.
I think he's done a great job moving Palace away from relegation contenders to solid mid table performers. He's brought on some younger players also and plays a far more progressive style than Hodgson ever did. He'll plateau at Palace but its a great place to learn and build a CV. Compared to Lampard and Gerrard he's in a different league

What do people think of Viera? Could he do better with better players?
Good manager from what I can see. Palace are just chock full of athletic but somewhat limited players and have relied on Zaha for their spark for years.

Weghorst thoughts? I think he did what ETH asked of him. Fairly decent game for him, hard to come to Palace, Held the ball up well a few times and laid it off, some good passes and runs, espcially for the goal taking tow defenders away from Bruno. Got a good feeling he will certainly contribute to an over all team win on many occasions.

Casemiro is my new man crush. He is a Rolls Royce of a player.
Weren't you writing him and the transfer policy off before he had kicked a ball for you? Or am I thinking of someone else?
I think he's absolutely class personally. Has fitted into the league perfectly.
