Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [14th - 16th October 2022]

Refs might be crap but this shouldn't really happen. More punishment coming?

Like I said above make refs/linesmen etc answer to media like managers and players.

I don't condone players or managers having pop at them but same time, week after week there consistently failing.

Pundits ask a manager about a poor ref, who gets punished? The manager as gets fined.

There constantly getting away with being crap, they bring in VAR which is a tool to give clear answers yet some how they make a mess of it even then.

It’s the confusing laws of the game as well that don’t help.

VAR seems great and isn’t going anywhere but it has to be implemented like rugby. The way it’s done just now is frustrating and annoying as anything.

Offside are the single most frustrating thing about VAR and the BS super close calls. Just give the attacker the adv every single time there is a close call.

You can’t do that, there’d still be arguments, probably even more.

With Offsides they are...

Sky seem to want to create controversy with the disallowed goal. Which foul do they want? The one on Fabinho or the one on Alisson?

Well if thats the case he gives the freekick in real time doesnt he.

Clear corner for a great save, clear shirt pull on Fabinho and a clear foul for kicking the ball out of Alison's hands. The only controversy and wrong decision? Denying Foden's goal :o

Hope someone turns off the oxygen to the tent that keeps Tyler alive tonight

Two wrongs and all that. Klopp rightly sent off, id like to see more refs going for it tbh but also, we need refs to actually referees to improve massively as that today was poor.

Anyone got a replay of the arm bar drag? Brett Heart would Have been proud!!

I honestly don't know how the PL can get VAR so wrong seems to work in other leagues and competitions.

Neville saying it was a foul for their goal but still trys to make a big deal of it with comments like

"He had a chance to be consistent and let things go like he'd done"

Well he did let it go Gary didn't he, just like every other missed foul he let go, though this one he had to check.

Yes so whatever Klopp gets Pep gets and more as he was trying to intimidate an official into making a decision also

the 'goal' came about from a goal kick that should have been a corner and yet there's been nothing about that either.

Liverpool have released a statement about the Manchester City fans vile chants during todays game

Away end also vandalised with graffiti of a similar nature.

About time something was done about this.

The chants were vile but what can they do other then raise awareness?

Could do with City themselves asking the fans to wind it in tbh.
