It's completely different, that's a red for 'violent conduct' because it's a kick, you can't look at what Mane does and call that 'violent conduct' without some serious anti-Liverpool bias involved. If you seriously think they're the same action and should result in the same decision you must be high or something.

It's not just that, so many websites posted the VAR for and against decisions for the entire league and we only had +2 over the course of the season. I believe Brighton had +8 and Man United +7 so you've got to have soup for brains to think we benefitted the most.

We dominated the League, that's why. People were just searching for reasons why, the same reason why our supposed luck with injuries was constantly brought up, which was also nonsense.

Also thinking he's good doesn't mean you don't have a bit of a hatred for him. Everyone knew Suarez was by far the best player in the league whilst he was here but most hated him

Jesus, that makes it even worse. Missed his foot and judged it after the ball had been played. VAR official needs booting but he'll get an arm around the shoulder and a pat on the back.
That's appalling but as said by a lot of people VAR is just not fit for purpose, it's only being used on offsides and major decisions (like the Pickford one) it can't be used for.
Honestly it really is making football a joke with it can/can't be used, there's more confusion there than the government's Covid rules

No issue with that tbh. If that's his opinion behind the scenes I'd be shocked but he's just publically protecting his player.
Don't think he needs protecting in that situation, should have just agreed with the decision instead of looking for excuses.

You also can’t extrapolate lines like that. The lines are drawn to the pitch given the camera angles. As the camera is on one side of the pitch, objects on the other sode will look closer and hence lines will converge. If you extend converting lines they will cross.
I’m not a fan of VAR, but this lines not being parallel argument comes up far too often.
This VAR offside thing has been done to death. The VAR camera's and subsequent lines are caliberated to take into account the camera angle - the only real issue with it is the frame rate of the camera's but whatever it is, is better than a humans eye.
The controversy around this offside (and the VVD/Pickford incident) is because we've now changed where they measure handballs. Last season both Mane and VVD would have been onside because they would have drawn the line from their shoulder. However because of all the controversy around handballs when the ball was striking the attackers shoulder area, they tweaked the handball law so it must strike below the shirt sleeve. As a result of this a forward can now legally play the ball with the top of their arm so that's where they draw the offside line from.

Do this with any offside with the VAR lines and you'll get the same result.
