Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [18th - 20th December 2021]

Maybe just because the ball was already out of the way before any contact, not that it should really matter.

That is the only thing I can think. But then it is an off the ball challenge which is worse. If that was a defender or a Newcastle player sliding in and catching someone late it would have been a penalty/foul and a yellow. I just don’t get the logic that it is not even a foul.

The Laschelles push on Chamberlain?

It goes both ways.
Yeah, I did point out that we were lucky on Thursday, as we could/would have been down to 10 if you didn’t score your second goal, but that’s 100% a pen against TAA as well and the push should have been a pen also, we have had some very poor decisions against us this season though

Anywhere else on the field of play the ref is blowing up and giving a foul as it's off the ball, penalty area and it's not a foul, really poor reffing that but what on earth is VAR doing

It isnt 100% a penalty at all. Even if it was...the way you describe the events means you got off lightly

Nope, he stops following the ball and ensures there's contact. Could easily have avoided the keeper if he wanted. He knows the chance is gone and is looking at the keeper the entire time.
To be fair you have a point. He does stop his run but i also think its rash and silly from Ederson.
