Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [18th - 21st Dec 2020]

You only need a couple of tweaks in key areas. A more clinical striker, a more cynical holding midfielder and maybe a CB and your results would improve hugely.

To be fair we spent on a CB pairing. 16m on Koch who has been very good after a shaky start and 19m on Llorente who has played 30mins. Both injured for months.

Kalvin is one of the better defensive mids in the league but had a bad game. Klich is a good all rounder as is Dallas. All three were just poor today.

Rodrigo was brought in to replace Bamford, I thought... Bamford does a lot for the team though, hard to really criticise him.

What a game, excitement and end to end. I don't read much into the scoreline and I didn't have Leeds getting anything anyway. But god what an exciting game, much better than the previous 2 games today.

Yep. I’d rather be losing those kind of games with these score lines than playing like a Newcastle and Burnley and keeping it respectable!
It’s all about entertainment at the end of the day and why I’ll probably sack off football when Bielsa leaves us

It would be nice for Leeds to follow on with Poch although he will most likely be in a new job by then.

Fully agree, as Keane said after the game staying up is the aim of this season. Play like we play and we will stay up, we will cause a lot of teams problems.

It's still a pretty huge step down from taking Spurs to a Champions League final. I'd be surprised if that was what he was looking for.
Rafa Benitez took a huge step down too..

Plenty of managers have won titles and got to finals then managed lower teams

Poch looking unlikely for MUFC now.. Ole at the wheel with another masterclass ;)

Benitez has never been a "cool" manager. I have never heard anyone who supports any of the top teams in any league say "do you know who I really want to manage us? Benitez".

Poch has plenty of suitors from top clubs on the other hand.

Naaah, Ole will have a bad run when he gets unlucky with injuries or just generally unlucky. Imagine this team without Fernandes for a few months. He is literally the thing that saved Ole from getting sacked last season.
