i think jota can still get to the loose ball. did it make a difference it jota moved towards the keeper? he was sliding in and might have cleaned him out regardless

If we don’t choke this it’ll be the most undeserved win of the season. Been slapped for an hour and have Alisson to thank for keeping us in it and the ref for gifting us that pen.

Yep, even my Liverpool fandom cannot say thats a pen. Just no way its a pen, not in a million years. I just dont even know what training a ref can have to be watching that replay and come to the conclusion that its a penalty
I dont like the step into the keeper but these types of challenges really annoy me. Goalies seem to be able to get away murder. Thats harsh.

There needs to be a "common sense" rule for penalties. If the player has kicked the ball out of play or would never have reached it after their last touch then its not a penalty unless the foul was violent. Those sort of penalties are just ruining the game.
We've got to the stage where your only job as an attacker is to get to the ball first and invite contact. Its a shame.

I've only seen it in a video on Twitter, and I'm a Liverpool fan but would say I'm generally pretty reasonable on decisions, but I think that's a pen. Yes, Jota missed his kick but the ball isn't moving that fast and if he doesn't get taken out I think he gets the ball and can put a cross in. It's debatable but it's far from the worst VAR decision I've seen this season

It only looked a matter of time before Palace had another huge chance or two, we might've escaped but it robbed Palace of any chance
Ultimately I'm not going to care that much as we've had enough bad calls go against us but its really alarming that results can be decided like this on such an easy and obvious call.
