Just seen the Leicester highlights. If Salah did what Vardy did for both of those pens there's petitions to deport him and articles dedicated to how he's disgraced the league.

Liverpool fans keep saying this every time there is a soft penalty but I haven't seen Salah getting any grief for a very long time.

He got grief yesterday, the commentator accused him of going down soft to win a penalty near the end of the game. What actually happened was he got tackled fairly, he got up without protesting and the game carried on but they made sure the narrative was continued.

There's no way of knowing what might have been but prior to the West Brom game I felt that 7 points may have been enough given the fixtures that Leicester and Chelsea had. Given their fixtures and what happened last season, Leicester in particular looked catchable with 7 points and in the end 6 may have even been enough.

On Leicester, I can't help but think that their FA Cup win has saved Rodgers from a lot of criticism. I typically prefer to look at the season as a whole when judging managers/clubs performances and for Leicester to finish 5th in both seasons was an achievement but the way they've collapsed twice now must be a bit concerning. To have only picked up 10 points in their last 9 games, with 3 of those points coming against a 2nd string Utd side, is really bad. I hadn't realised quite how bad last seasons collapse was until I checked - I know they had injuries but 17 points from their last 17 games? That was relegation form.

I'm wary about judging any manager on this season, the schedule has been so gruelling. Unless you have a squad like City then it has taken it's toll on everyone. It's tough for us to tell from the outside what impact it has had on training and mental and physical wellbeing.

It's more than just this season with Rodgers though. The 2nd half of last season was even worse from Leicester. Even at Liverpool it was the same with Rodgers. He has spells where everything is going well and the team are flying and then when things start to turn or the opposition start figuring out how to play against your system, things go very wrong very quickly.

He's great at buidling a side to play a particular way but I'm far from convinced about his ability to make those small tweaks to systems when teams try to counter his set-up or his ability to set-up a side to grind out results when things aren't going well. It's all or nothing with him.

Well that definitely reads different the version I was told.

This is the problem with having someone like Kroenke as sole owner. Everything’s private and fans are in the dark about the clubs financial situation.
The Athletic were right. Arsenal have filed papers with companies house showing they've borrowed money from Barclays on the 20th - the loan is secured against future tv money and a long list of properties Arsenal own.
