Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [22nd - 24th October 2021]

The Glazers aren't spending anything. They are milking a cash cow, taking money out of the club, servicing massive debt and still spending massively on players. If they gave even a single **** about the football they would run the club completely differently.

I know that, but they'll still be concerned.

If you had an easier run of games coming up then it would make the decision easier. Do you really want to have a new manager going into those games? You could change manager and easily lose or drop points vs any and all of Spurs, City and Chelsea - not really the start a new manager wants and the atmosphere around the club won't be great.

Yeah, very difficult run of games, complicates things. However, with some structure and perhaps a boost we can compete with anyone (up to a point).

I think we have a 10x better chance of getting points from those games if Ole is gone. He should take his backroom staff with him.

Any new manager will have some leeway when they come in. If we lose them under a new interim manager then so be it.

Pretty much what everyone with half a brain has been saying about United the whole time under Ole.

They're not going to sack him unless we finish the season outside of the top 4, that's the ****** reality.

Board have to sack him............

When have you EVER seen the white hankies out at Old Trafford...

Dreadful...

He needs to go.

worst run without a clean sheet in 124 years...

I'll be disgusted if he's still the manager next week.

I agree but it's a bit of a gamble. As I said, even with a change you could have a poor run of results in those games. When you change manager you often get a bit of a bounce and if you don't get that bounce because you lose to a Spurs and or City, this feeling around the club could drag on and easier games suddenly become harder.

There's no easy answer.

Henderson's pass for our 5th was incredible. I remember Gerrard playing a similar pass to Sturridge many years ago and that was right up there.

I hear what you are saying but with the squad we have, even a half decent manager would get us top 4. I don't think we need much of a bounce to beat 80% of the teams in the league. We just need a tactically competent manager with the ability to convey a game plan to the players. My only expectations of any manager who comes in until the end of the season as that they get top 6 and have us showing some vague ability to perform as a team instead of 11 strangers on the pitch.

I'm not saying Ole should stay but the timing of when he goes isn't ideal. If you had an easier run of games coming up then he'd be gone by tonight but with a tricky run maybe it's better to let Ole play those games out and make the change after Chelsea. That gives any new manager a better run to start with.

the ManU/ Pogba story is the hilarious.
Fancy letting a player go for FREE due to his attitude.
A few years later saying "oh **** we think we've got it wrong" and paying £85MILL to rectify it only to realise you got it right 1st time.:cry:
