Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [22nd - 24th October 2021]

I'm not saying Ole should stay but the timing of when he goes isn't ideal. If you had an easier run of games coming up then he'd be gone by tonight but with a tricky run maybe it's better to let Ole play those games out and make the change after Chelsea. That gives any new manager a better run to start with.

I think in that case, it's still better to get rid of him and just leave Phelan in charge for a bit (although he's also useless).

Ole being in charge as we lose game after game will just affect his legacy with the club and fans, and the players probably don't like him either.

Neville will never call for Ole's head so we just have to read between the lines. Hopefully Carragher will lay into Ole instead.

The buck stops with the Glazers, it doesn't matter who we get in as manager we need them gone.

It's true, but the Glazers have spent money and tried to provide a team capable of what the fans expect. This is purely a coaching issue at the moment.

The squad isn't perfectly balanced but it's good enough.

Henderson's pass for our 5th was incredible. I remember Gerrard playing a similar pass to Sturridge many years ago and that was right up there.

Fulham falling over one in 13/14 :D? He made it looked better with the dramatic lunge for it

Honestly this talk about how strong a squad United have. They start with "McFred" and Maguire ffs.
But literally the only thing they're really badly missing is a holding midfielder, and they should have spent the Sancho money on one. There are far, far worse squads performing far, far better than this United one

It's more complicated than just a holding mid. When you look at Rashford, Sancho and Greenwood, they wouldn't look out of place playing for us wide in a 4-3-3 but then they've got Fernandes that wants/needs to play in a 4-2-3-1. You can't really fit Pogba into a 4-2-3-1 and then there's the Ronaldo issue. You only have to listen to Neville talking about needing to play Cavani alongside Ronaldo - where the hell are Utd playing Fernandes/Pogba and all those wide forwards with a front 2?

The squad is unbalanced.
