Norwich just gave up, they done this the last time they where in the league, they’ve basically made no improvement.

We played pretty good football in the first few games, but got crushed by much better opposition, it seems like the fights completely gone out of the team since then. Today was dismal. Farke seems like a good manager when he's in charge of a team which has the same kind of quality as the teams he's playing against, but he doesn't seem to have the mindset to organise the kind of gritty, defensive football that a minnow like Norwich needs to survive in the Premier League.

Dropping it to 18 teams would mean it’s less likely that you’ll get a team as bad as Norwich.

Again, Norwich won the Championship, how does reducing the number of teams help?

I was going to say he left as per wiki (the source of all sources)

On 24 June 2019, Newcastle announced that Benítez would step down as Manager upon the expiration of his contract

Let’s say it goes to 18, a further 2 teams would go down. They two teams are likely to be better than Norwich. Which would keep them in the championship for a further year.

Then the next three to go down to compete with them the following for promotion, so they wouldn’t romp it.

It does sound like I have a bee in my bonnet for Norwich, I don’t, I just find them dire at the moment.

I think your right, being stuck in the house for the last 20 months has got my mind warped, yep your right he 2 PL seasons at NUFC

To be fair these comparison stats dont take a lot of things into account and are there to wind people up. Its like comparing Ole and Klopp thats been going on recently. Its nonsense

Yeah your right there TBH
I nearly said that myself. :D

the pandemic has completely changed the passage of time, hasn't it?
guess being stuck in the house has had more of an effect than I though it had

Brighton trying their best to play their own brand of football here but Man City are just too good, their high press out of posession is exceptional, and their attacking has been ruthless.

Why has the footballing world become so obsessed with expected goals per game? All I see now is xg everywhere, even in bather tweets….

Its quite a useful metric to show how a game went. The scoreline just tells you how efficient, lucky or unlucky a team was. The xG is overall a better measure of who had the better of the match. The scoreline is obviously king but if you are banging in way more than your xG suggests you either have amazing strikers or are in a lucky vein of results and will probably eventually revert to par. If you have a high xG and low actual goals then you are either being unlucky or your strikers/finishers are poor and you would benefit massively from improving that position in your team.

Oh dear Everton, their home form is embarrassing.

I've never seen Goodison empty that quickly before the final whistle before! Absolutely dire. That's the first time I've left early in as long as I can remember. The kicker was getting back to the car and finding out on the radio they'd scored another one.
