Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [26th Feb - 4th March 2021]

Strange game, thought the early goal would play into Leicesters hands and they'd sit back and counter us, fair play to Arteta and his selection for turning that around. Looked like they were playing with 10 men for much of that.

Burnley bending over for Spurs, could be 3-0 down already.

When I saw the line-up I thought there was no way we’d get a point, let alone three. First goal and the early part of the game felt like confirmation of that, we’d make a stupid error and get punished, worried about how we’d create a goal and then... did alright in the end. Odd. Welcome obviously!

It was never gonna be easy for us, we've lost Praet, Castagne, Vardy, Fofana, Justin, Perez, Maddison and now Barnes (maybe Evans) for varying spells, since January.

It’s slightly easier to stomach a loss when your squad is in tatters - we had no such excuse when you beat us in a painfully predictable way at the Emirates earlier this season.

Just noticed Lee Mason's been replaced for the Liverpool game through 'injury'.

PGMOL won't say a word against their refs, can't think of many organisations that treat their officials the same regardless of whether they perform good or bad. There's literally no incentive for them to up their game.

How convenient Mason has an injury, after that shambles yesterday

They are a law unto themselves, unaccountable to anyone, even though their incompetence and bias can cost clubs millions.

Surprised the PL and PGMOL haven't been sued.

Commentators love making excuses for Maguire. He missed that cross because he lost track of it. Giroud wasn't doing anything to put him off. Thats the sort of mistake that costs you goals. Luckily he completely missed it and it came off Lindelof kindly.
