Without a doubt, a great season for me was top7, a plus goal difference and a good cup run, it would be a kick in the balls to **** it up now though

Pretty dull game against Villa but good to get the points. Solid performances from Lindelof, Shaw and Bruno, Rashford and Erikson were not great, boggles the mind how bad Rashfords first touch is sometimes.

100% but how can we be upset with that team.
Most of them labelled as rejects. They were still hunting that ball in packs right to the 96min even when we had the game won.
We’ve had two poor games all season. Bournemouth and Villa.
Longstaff will be a huge loss. He’s been Bruno engine since he’s been struggling with that Ankle.
We are a little bit more open without him.

That’s exactly the pot we will be in, no europa league for 10 years and no champions league for 20, our coefficient will be one of the worst in this year’s competition if we do qualify. So you can guarantee we will end up in the group of death

Seeding is based on the last 5 years UEFA coefficient, which as you say will be 0 for you. For the good of the PL you probably should let Liverpool catch you tbf.
On a semi serious note, it could actually be bad for the PL if Newcastle do get a hard group and get knocked out early. From 24/25 there's 2 extra CL spots up for grabs for the two Leagues that perform best in Europe the previous season, which the PL nearly always are. A bad showing from PL clubs could cost the League an extra CL spot next season.

I've been saying to all my mates since Jan, we are going to need someone top drawer on the Longstaff position long term, someone to that'll push us higher. Don't think we have anyone else in the squad that plays there? Take nothing away from longstaff, he's actually been incredible this season. All he needed to do was add more goals, he's missed 9-10 cracking chances this season. Who knows, he could push on from here and become even better. After all he is playing alongside BG. i feel that position has to be a priority in the summer. Hope we can limp through to clinch CL.

I have always maintained Liverpool would be the toon biggest threat for a top 4 spot.
You only had to look at your attacking stats. Big chances missed etc.
Your forward line is incredible. You can even troll other teams by bringing on big Andy

That’s the thing Bruno is our Number 6 but he always rampages up the pitch.
Not only that our CB’s also rampage up the park and more often than not it’s Longstaff there filling in.
Felt sorry for Botman yesterday. He’s only the real outfield player not to score.
He’s had two goals chalked off for OG’s poor sod.

Even if we were able to win all our remaining games, which as you saw yesterday we're still very Jekyll and Hyde, you're not losing 3 of 5.
Unless United or Newcastle have a collapse the likes of which have never been seen and one of them lose every game or draw one and lose the rest, we don't get top 4. I suspected 5th was the best we'd do weeks ago and it still looks like the best we can do now.
Klopp 4d thinking, it's the only trophy he doesn't have with Liverpool, he wants the full set!
It's the only logical explanation for this season to be honest. It reminds me of after the FA Cup win last season, one of the newspapers or the BBC's twitter account put a a tweet about Trent winning the set by the age of x and all the weirdo's replying with "he's not won the Europa League yet!". We'll have to do the Europa Conference League at some point too though
