Little bit wasteful with the ball but to be fair I haven't seen us that deep since Steve Bruce.
It's just the pure threat that Saka and Martinelli carry that we had to double up.
Same as Trippier for us.
Funny how people where moaning about both transfers.
You get a leader, experience and they just lift players around them.

Another good result for us and we are quietly making our way up the table. If City fluff their game in hand we are only a point behind them. Couple of good results and we could be 2nd.

Especially when Utd pip him at the last hurdle.
Pope was doing it in the first half. Around 2 minutes on 1 goal kick. Don't have an issue with towards the end of the game.

It was more because good old Eddie was moaning about it against us.
It was standard for an away keeper taking a goal kick. He's not exactly going to be rushing around is he. Ramsdale did the same against us at home last season. Just think it's massively overblown that's all.
Didn't watch the game or see his comments but they're probably not far off given how your fans are treating it like a victory.

Its been amazing since that defeat to Villa before the break. Just wish next two games weren't City and Arsenal but at least we are in it to win it. Buzzin tbh!

As a toon fan, I have to say, we do love a time waste, I recall the Liverpool game earlier in the season where we really took the mickey, so I can understand why we are getting grief for yet more time wasting.
Think that match showed exactly where Newcastle are, a well oiled, well drilled team, that can't really offensively compete against the top of the league without further reinforcements
Fulham and Palace next, its those sort of games we'll need to win in order to keep pace
