You've got to ask serious questions as to why Utd are willing to spend anything like £100m on Sancho when your midfield and defence are playing like this. The one area of your side that isn't desperately lacking is wide forwards.

I would agree in most games but these goals have all been defensive **** ups.

That last goal was just a mess from the defence... again.

Either way, i'm done with this game. I'm sure Ole will strike the fear of god into these players at half time though.
 
Awful - simply pathetic.....

Last day of transfer deadline - and still no one in. Just a shambles of a club at the moment from the top down.

I know the goals are yes but nothing at all is sticking with that midfield. Pogba is called a passenger yet Fernandes is lauded as some genius.

Exactly, better off spending the money on coaches to actually improve someone. But it shuts the fans up for 6 months. Then they sack the manager and the cycle starts again.

Yeah, we could have done with someone like Allan. I don't think Pogba is going to cut it in central midfield, even alongside someone really defensive.

Why did we go for Van de Beek over Allan? Makes no sense.
 
United should just sign Keane for £100 million to do the half time team talks, these lot look like they don't care and there's no fear if they stroll about and lose.

This is what I don't get. Thiago Silva would have been useful for a year. Ake for £40m would have been a much better use of money. I've not seen anything of Dias but you've got to imagine he'll be better than anything United have. Everton have just signed Godfrey for £25m and he's a real prospect. Arsenal got Gabriel. Most of the other teams around United have been able to strengthen at the back and United don't even seem to have considered it.

That said Spurs's defenders aren't much better - for two teams pushing for the top 4, these two teams have staggeringly poor defences

Allan or Rice. Someone to retain the ball.

On my comments om Fernandes. Hes lost the ball 11 times this half.

Well it's because Fernandes doesn't go back much and loses the ball, but at least he's effective going forward. His record since joining the PL is incredible, even putting the penalties aside. Pogba is a very impressive player but aside from the occasional Hollywood pass I don't actually know what he contributes
