I said it a little while ago but I think it's time to dismantle and rebuild.

We need competition for Trent, an actual striker, a Benayoun and a winger. We have an alarming lack of pace outside of Salah, Mane, Ox and Robertson...

Origi out, Milner out, Gini out, Firmino maybe out - outside of the last match, he's dropped off a cliff and he's so pivotal that when he's **** (more and more frequently), the whole team is.

Maybe the last two seasons have broken everyone but the footballing world is laughing at us.

I think a lot of people expect Brighton to have been as bad as the teams in the bottom 3, they've had some horrendous luck this season so I'm pretty glad they're starting to see results.

Potter has done a great job with them since taking over.

Agree they are good, they were pretty rancid under Hughton iirc. Doesn't absolve Liverpool from being utterly garbage though

Well people said how would Liverpool cope if VVD was injured for a long time. I guess we know now after this season

While I did once, I don't consider the defence or losing VVD as the main issue now. The main issue is having to sacrifice Fabinho and now Henderson from midfield to cover for them.

It was always going to to be a difficult season with so many key long term injuries, but, with all due respect to them and a good performance, you'd still think a title winning team at home would be able to overcome a Brighton side in 17th. Despite the previous three encouraging performances this a huge kick in the teeth, whether you look at the woeful performance, lack of chances created or ultimately the scoreline.

Lingard isn't washed up he is a young potential talent that is simply going on loan to get game time before coming back to United to get balon dor and win us the champions League next season.
