Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [5th - 7th November 2021]

It is up for grabs. They do seem the most deserving of it at least.

Nah, they will fall away over the course of the season. A couple of injuries to the wrong player and they will really suffer. It will probably be Chelsea, Liverpool, City and one of Arsenal, Spurs and Leicester I reckon. Depends how Conte does and if Arsenal can keep some sort of form.

I reckon we will finish 6th/7th unless we get rid of Ole before Christmas.

I think most of us would like to see them finish high or even push hard for the title, they're my favorite team to watch at the moment and all seem to be pretty humble lads, but the lack of real squad depth is a worry and they know it.

We are 11 games in. On another day west ham wouldn't have won that. They should be comfortable upper mid table(scrapping with the other mid tablers like Utd and Spurs) but I doubt they will sustain a top four position.

What has that got to do with what happened today lmao?

If anyone wants to explain why it isn't a red feel free.

That isn't remotely close to what happened lmao. How about VVD and De Gea...post that.

Is "lmao" your go to phrase when you're void of any decent counter argument? Considering VAR upheld the goal, the pundits on the day thought it wasn't a foul and every Liverpool fan in this thread, except you, thought it wasn't a foul then I guess it's a lost cause trying to convince you otherwise.

As for not remotely close to what happened, the two images literally show an opposing player jumping in front of the keeper with their arms raised as per what your argument was based on. Not that their arm position matters one iota considering their arms neither made contact with the keeper nor the ball.

Not sure what the consistency argument is all about either. Completely separate argument - the fact they've got these wrong before doesn't change the fact they got the call correct yesterday. Unless you're suggesting they should make bad calls to even out other bad calls?

Spurs and Leicester are even worse than us. Arsenal will collapse again in a couple of weeks. Although saying that they do look most likely as they have no Europe to contend with so just like Ole Arteta will give all Arsenal fans a false sense of security then collapse next season in the champs league :p.
