That’s not a penalty in a million years. He’s clearly forced contact with the keeper by dragging his legs so that he made contact. If you change your stride after you have kicked the ball to force contact with the keeper it should not be a penalty.

If he had maintained his stride there would have been no contact.
So you will have berated the players of your team for doing the same?

Yes, I have done...

Ronaldo hasn't got a number of penalties this year for pretty similar attempts to force contact. I think a hell of a lot of penalties are soft these days but at least most of them aren't plain cheating, they are just making the most of actual contact. This is straight up cheating.

As someone else pointed out, this is a Harry Kane special. Toe the ball away and then drag your legs to force contact.

If you took the keeper out of the video you would see just how unnatural and stupid calling something like this a penalty is.

TBH as far as I’m concerned it makes up for the shockers that weren’t given to us against City and Chelsea and the Madison one that was given against us, so it’s about time one went for us

I mean you either think its a pen or it isnt. Now youre suggesting its possibly not but makes up for other decisions lol.

For me it isnt but refereeing this season does appear to have gone to a new low. If a few decisions were called correctly then tomorrows game wouldn't be as decisive as its likely to be.

Have a feeling we could see utd do Everton 3 or 4 nil here. United haven't been at their best but I can just see them ripping Everton up on the counter.

That Everton Midfield is very very poor Allan aside.

No I still think it was a pen, and it was my initial reaction last night, what I’m saying is we have had some shockers go against us this season so if people think we have been given a soft one, to me it makes up for those shockers, as some people say “these decisions even themselves out over a season” apparently

I was about to say the opposite. United have been fantastic over the past few years at getting absolutely schooled by sides that are flirting with relegation.

:D i just feel with Ronaldo and Rashford back in, Sanccho starting to resemble what people thought was coming in, Everton being atrocious it might all add up to a really miserable day for Everton.

Don’t get me wrong I want Everton to stay 9 points away from Newcastle, I wonder what the reaction will be from them IF they do drop into the bottom 3, in our 2009 relegation season we didn’t drop into the bottom 3 until our 30th game and then we never recovered after that

Aye I think toon are safe now. I don't think I've really seen much fight in this Everton side apart from the Man city game to think they will get anything today, capitulated against Burnley and the personal mistakes that keep reading their heads week in week out don't seem to be going away.

Theres a few mistakes in that sentence I'm afraid. You've suggested Rashford is not a chocolate teapot at the moment and that Uniteds form has any bearing on how we play against relegation fodder. We've repeatedly been on good runs of 3-4 wins in a row, beaten a good team and then lost to utter dross and been completely outplayed to the point where I wonder if peak Barca have done a shirt swap with the opposition.

The other thing is that we are still in with a very slight chance of top 4 if we pull our fingers out and go on a good run of form and a few of our rivals drop points here or there so this is a perfect time to banish that ambition. Conditions are perfect.

Man, you really don't sound like you have much confidence in your team today. I really want Rashford to turn a corner, such a come down from where he can be.

:p I rarely have any faith in this bunch of overpaid and underworked idiots.

As to Rashford, we have all be wanting that for the best part of a year now but he seems more concerned with his public image off the field than he does putting the effort in to get back to form. Shell of the player he was and the club is about to give him a new contract by all accounts. Very frustrating.

I'm always amazed that Pickfords defenders don't knock him out a few times a game. Every time he makes any save he screams at his team mates or the linesman or someone.

Really think Man Utd are going to tear Everton a new one here, this is the ideal game for Utd as they're playing a team that cannot defend for toffee so their mis-firing forwards are going to get quite a few chances each to score, surely they have to take 1 or 2 of these chances they're going to get.
