I’ll be hoping they can’t
Surely it's in your interest to keep the title race as live as possible going into the final few weeks? Spurs come to Anfield right around the time we're in a CL semi final - if we're putting all our eggs in the CL basket then there's a good chance that me and Pigeon Killer are starting up front vs Spurs.

You’ll still be in it by then regardless. It’s going to the last day without a doubt.

I hope you're right but the next 3 games are going to be a big test for us. They might not be the hardest fixtures in the world on paper but Everton on the Sunday followed by the 1st leg of the CL semi on Wednesday and then a 12.30 away game to Newcastle on the Saturday is going to stretch our squad. I can't see us resting too many key players in the Villarreal game which might mean a lot of changes for the Newcastle game. The outcome of the 1st leg vs Villarreal will be key to shaping our sides vs Newcastle and then Spurs the following week - if we can get a big 1st leg lead then it's possible that we go with most of the same side vs Newcastle, knowing they'll get a rest the next midweek.

That's one of my biggest issues with Arteta, he seems terrified to try new things. If he stumbles onto something that works (like lacazette's dropping deep role) he sticks to it and never tries anything new unless he's forced too.

Hoping for the best but expecting the worst, at least it's a slightly weaker Chelsea side.
