Why?
I though Williams ran himself into the ground for the team last. Of course he wasn't perfect but I would cut him some slack as he is such a young player and I think he has had a positive season. Agree with the others though, they were poor.
He worked hard but was probably the most guilty of giving the ball away regularly, and didn't provide much go forward, despite all the running. Has potential, but Shaw is a vastly better player right now.

His eye was all bloodshot and swollen from getting battered in the Southampton game. He was hardly at 100% but yes it's no coincidence that our performances have nose dived since Shaw was injured.

He's a sore loser. It's a non story, they all are. Klopp is too and is a self confessed sore loser. Easy to forget when teams are winning all the time, just wait until the wheels eventually come off if he's still there. I don't think you can play at the level these guys have and then manage and not be a sore loser.
I think the pressure Williams put on Shaw has made him better this season. There is 6 years between them therefore its all there for Williams to be a better player than Shaw. It's only in the last few months that Shaw has go anywhere near being a credible attacking fullback again after 2/3 years of inconsistency. I admit I'm not a Shaw fan but he has been one of our better players in this part of the season and deserves his place. I think Williams was so knackered and that was why he was profligate in possession. Obi wan Bissaka is pretty poor going forward too.

Henderson's just won the FWA POTY award. Made up for him but I think Mane had the better season at Liverpool and De Bruyne was probably the best player in the league this year.

It was always going to go to the captain of a team who wins the league for the first time in 30 years really, even more so for one who had to come out of the shadow of a club legend.
This plus Henderson has always had ***** thrown at him occasionally by myself but I was clearly wrong
I'm chuffed for him, hopefully the people who beat him with the Gerrard stick will shut up as at the end of the day he did what Gerrard didn't, delivered premier League.
