Greenlizard0 PL & FA Cup SF Football Thread ** spoilers ** [21st - 23rd April 2023]

Genuinely confused by the point you're making now, I thought you just didn't like Neville sounding like he'd cum
Was on about the woman, though seems she only played for Arsenal not supported them.

Just not a fan of people doing comms who support/have a connection with the team, kind of spoils it from a neutrals point as no one wanted Saints to win in that com box. Lots will like it, just not for me/
Like when Carra does Liverpool, annoys the hell out of me.

Zinchenko is one of the most overrated players in the PL.

No.

Literally thought before a ball was kicked, and alluded to by Neville, you've got a right winger in Walcott there eager to get in behind and shoot so why the actual **** are you wandering aimlessly up into midfield??
Even second half, I was literally watching his position, he was more central than Gabriel on multiple occasion.
He's supposed to be the left back ffs.
That's LEFT back.
L E F T.

Tierney must surely be knocking on Edu's door tomorrow and saying listen pal, a couple of years ago I was Arsenal's best player and a future captain, been frozen out for this clown that has the worst positional sense since Andre Santos, get me a move in the sumer.

Fair enough. I quite like it to be honest. It's nice feeling like the commentators actually care about what's going on. Not the whole comms team, but I'm fine with one of three doing it

Losing key players in defence has detrimentally affected the way the team plays as a whole making us far more vulnerable to conceding. It’s not surprise we‘re leaking goals left right and centre and are easier to get at than before. Additionally the wave of emotion being ridden has clearly peaked and now this is the adrenaline dump. City will walk through us then all the remaining games will be a similar struggle to these last 3.

Bizarre take. The manager plays him exactly because that's what he gives the team, and I expect that the manager instructs him to do it.

Football is a game of risk vs reward. You're never going to get a formation or player without some downsides. Zinchenko has given Arsenal huge control in midfield this season, and him moving into the middle has enabled Odegaard and Xhaka more freedom, and in turn been a big part of what has gone well for Arsenal this season.

The downside is that he's not in his position all the time, and you often end up essentially with a back 3. It's a risk which has paid off far more often for Arsenal this year than it hasn't
