Even after a 6-0 win your glass is still half empty.Utd win suits me actually. They’re not catching us but it leaves Villa 5 points behind instead of 2

You're concerning yourself with the sides behind you, thinking about the possibility of finishing outside the top 4 rather than looking up.How is that glass half empty?
Because we always lose to united. Always. How on earth are Villa losing this.
How on earth are Villa losing this.
I know Neville talks some **** but did he really just question whether Spurs would have preferred a Villa win?
I’m being realistic. I’d love to win the league but in reality, the chances of doing that ahead of Liverpool and City are very slim. I just look at all angles of where we can finishYou're concerning yourself with the sides behind you, thinking about the possibility of finishing outside the top 4 rather than looking up.
Yes, Spurs would have preferred a Villa win which would have seen them drop down into 5th place, 2 points behind 4th rather than being 4th, a point ahead of 5th.Seems perfectly fair question.

A draw maybe I could have understood but with Utd still effectively (thanks to your GD) 7 points behind Spurs, it's some stretch to say Spurs would have preferred a Villa win when it would have literally resulted in Spurs dropping out of the CL spots.Villa are struggling a bit at the moment and United are on a bit of a run. Ultimately I would still not put any money on Villa finishing above United come the end of the season. If I was Spurs I would probably want a draw more than anything.
I love it when Sky get all their staff and pundits to act like they’re really into NHL come superbowl time
Keane maybe, but can’t see Merse being a big fan myself. Rules far too complicated for him.
First away win for ten hag against a top 9 side right?

A Villa win today and the narrative isn't 'Villa are struggling a bit' but instead what a great job Emery is doing and how they're in a great position to pinch a CL spot. Barring a drop off from Spurs then the top 4 is probably going to be the top 4 come the end of the season. Utd aren't playing well enough to fancy them to go on a run to bridge that gap to Spurs and Villa probably rely too much on Watkins. Realistically Utd and Villa are going to need to hope that the PL sides in Europe do well enough to secure the League a 5th spot for next season.
