Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [11th - 14th August 2023]

Garbage for 60 mins and still took weird refereeing to stop us winning unfortunately

We looked diabolical for too much of that game.

I think we looked about as expected. Potentially exciting and could be very good, but we need a CDM and a centre back who knows how to defend.

Very easy to see how Argentina won the world cup...Enzo and Macallister were the best players on the pitch for their respective teams

Chelsea have spent a lot of money and squad looks worse than when Todd came in. Lots of younger players so they should improve, plus I haven't heard of half of them so might be decent ones

Decent albeit strange start to the season against Spurs today. Looks like my 4 year old son is finally fulfilling the season ticket I buy him each year, but he watched precisely none of that game other than when I took his tablet off him for the Mbuemo penalty.

Spurs looked chaotic, but so did we. Disappointed we didn't get more than a point, and thought we sat off then too much for large parts of the game, but a solid showing all the same.

Well, glad Newcastle won the weekend :)

After various experts seem to be writing our chances of doing well again this season off. Top 4 again will be huges given our extra games, but I don't see why we can't, we are not fluking this form which started 2nd half of the season before last. Hammering Villa is so good as well....
