I too find it baffling the way the pundits are writing Newcastle off. They looked awesome yesterday.
It’s going of past experience, our squad is not deep enough to compete on 4 fronts yet.I too find it baffling the way the pundits are writing Newcastle off. They looked awesome yesterday.

If you and us both do ok in Europe, it’s the top 5 nowNot really just the pundits, a lot more people have us wrote off. Only 7 people that posted on this forum expect us to get top 4, and 4 of them are Newcastle fans hah
It is however only the first week, and it'll be a looooooong season for us, the question will be can we last?
Yeah I was thinking this too - keep everyone fit and could have a great season. One or two key injuries and could easily drop down to midtable. Looked very good yesterday.Newcastle's (like most) season is 100% hinging on long term injuries.
I don't think we can afford more than 1 in most positions (general attack / mid / defence, not just a specific role within).
We looked good first half, but then our old habit of taking our foot off the gas came back to haunt us. I don’t know why Arteta can’t cut that out.
If we had carried on like the first half, we’d have put 3 or 4 past Forest and it would have looked much more convincing. What happened just starts putting a bit of pessimism in your head
It's only 1 game in, long way to go yet.
The scoreline doesn't tell the full story of the Brighton v Luton game, they'll nab some results this season if they play like yesterday. Given the amount of new players, I think scoring 4 is a pretty good outcome given they're not up to speed with the system.
I should have put a bet on Ferguson 20+ goals, think he's in for a good year.
Hojlund hat trick tonight?
Won't be in the squad I suspect.
Bruno to get booked within a minute whining to the ref I reckon.
I was gonna say, can you bet on a player getting a yellow?
Yup! 3/1 for Bruno
