There is no way they will uphold it, it was maybe a borderline yellow at most
You could have said the same about VAR but they upheld it. It's very rare that the FA overturn red cards.

No. You used to run the risk of an extended ban if the appeal was pointless (which this clearly wouldn't be) but that's been scrapped if I'm not mistaken.
